As a human being I am quite timid and not at all psychotic (I think) so why would I create so twisted a story? as you might have noticed one of the keywords in this story is symbolism and that's the main reason why this story comes out as so twisted. You see a lesson I learned in English class a few years back was if you're trying to convey a point you need it to really stick to the authors mind, the main problem is getting it stuck in your head. I don't know about you but the memories I find the most memorable are those that contain my fears and other things that truly engrave their Selfs into my mind. So, what I'm trying to say is that anytime you see something violent in the story it is me trying to tell you something, so maybe pay a little more attention to the build ups and seemingly random bursts of energy.
Now with all of that out of the way what is the message/moral of the story, as all good books seem to have one. I don't know if you caught onto it but there were a LOT of symbolic items in the first chapter of this story titled "The Gruffs". Now to point out the main three you had the charters Mical, Sally, and of course Jessie who were all tragically murdered near the end of the story setting the stage for roughly two hundred pages of insanity. I made sure to really stretch and focused on the personality of these charters so that they could each represent something of value. Sally quite obviously was Love. Mical represented Joy and Mirth. Jessie represented rationality. all of these traits are quite important to a normal functioning human being meaning if I wanted to create a charter who no matter what the reader would hate I needed to remove said traits.
At the end of the day Broken would is an interesting novel demonstrating a world, or at least a charter that lacks and love, joy or rationality hence the dice which you can see on the cover.
This is just a first draft of my story which I will be constantly editing so If you find some spelling errors just know I'm handling it.
Here are a few examples that I can think of off the top of my head and using what notes I have left.
Symbolism:
Jessie-Rationality
Sally-Love
Mical-Joy
Jax-despair
Glasses-Friendship
Driving-struggles in life/problems
Mia-example
knife-relationship

(How I miss the orange sunset,
And our careless bets.
An innocent time free,
Free of all non glee.
But as seasons go,
Our relationship we throw.
Split between places,
Destian to not see each other's faces.
But then we did,
But of companionship we were rid.
Now, I still see the orange sunset
Even when dark, hopeless, and wet.
When the light is present,
Courage makes like a pheasant
So now I just sit in my corner,
And imagine how I would have adore her.
That beautiful orange sunset, and the walks,
That's when we made our talk.)
