Chapter 2

Vice Principal Godfreg's decision to postpone the elections left everyone involved upset. Alexis blamed himself, thinking that if it wasn't for him, Charles wouldn't have gotten angry at Shintarou.

As he was walking outside, he ran into Mr.Godfreg, who was sitting on a bench.

"Good afternoon, Sir. Err... why are you sitting here?"

"Just getting some fresh air. Although I've been here for a long time,I have never gotten a good look at the view."

From there, they made small talk, and he told Alexis how the principal of their school aspired to make the world a better place through the establishment of Momos Academy for Boys. At that moment, Alexis too took the chance to convince him not to cancel the elections.

Just then, Ailana suddenly showed up with two steaming paper cups in hand.

"Ailana! It's nice to see you here." Said Alexis.

"You too." Was her response. She then handed one of the cups to Mr.Godfreg, which made Alexis look at her questioningly.

"I ran into the Vice Principal here earlier. He looked cold so I thought I should get some hot tea for him." She explained.

"Haha, you didn't need to, Ailana."

"I insist. Other than enjoying this beautiful view, sipping on a hot cup of tea can be calming, too." Although she looked indifferent, her tone held sincerity in her speech. Surprisingly, she also offered the other cup of tea to Alexis.

"I-I can't take it. It's yours, isn't it?" He tried to decline. Though the soft and floral aroma from the tea was inviting.

"Just take it. You look like you need it more than I do." She insisted.

"Th-thank you then." Alexis accepted the tea, feeling slightly intimidated by her. Mr.Godfreg, on the other hand, chuckled, seeing their interaction.

And Ailana was right. Sipping on hot tea in this cold weather while gazing at a beautiful landscape did wonders for the soul. What's more, the tea Ailana brought was delicious unlike anything he's ever tried.

"Did you get this from the café?" Alexis asked.

"Nope. I made it in my dorm. Unlike café made tea, it tastes much better when you take the time to brew it and have extensive knowledge in tea making that most cafés don't have." She explained.

"Your dorm?" Now it was Mr.Godfreg's turn to be surprised.

"It's no big problem. The dormitory is just a few minutes' walk from here. Much closer than the campus café." The two were stunned but nevertheless thanked her again.

Alexis sat on the bench with the vice principal while Ailana sat on his other side. They enjoyed the peaceful quiet when Mr.Godfreg suddenly popped a question to both of them.

"Who do you want to be President of the Student Council?" This made Alexis choke on his drink while Ailana remained impassive.

"I don't think this is something I can decide on." Though Alexis didn't know what Ailana thought since just remained quiet gazing at the falling leaves.

"I heard you both were wronged today. If you pick the right person, then you won't be bullied again."

"...What you said may be right. But I think this decision isn't mine to make. The President of the Student Council needs to be chosen by the students. They have the right to vote. And I think all the candidates have the right to be president." Was Alexis' enthusiastic response.

"Even Prince Gion and Prince Shintarou?"

"Of course! They're worthy too."

"What about Ailana? What do you think? Do you agree with Alex?" Now it was Ailana's turn. She took a moment to ponder her words. Especially since she knows someone's watching them.
