"So, you're the famous (L/n), huh?" A voice said beside (Y/n) just as she was finishing her lunch with Juleka. Rose had to go to the infirmary.
She wiped her lips on a napkin and turned to find an unfamiliar girl, from another class no doubt. "Wow, I'm just new here. I didn't know I was famous already." She rose to her feet and tilted her head downward to meet the smaller girl's gaze, a playful smirk on her lips.
The girl stepped back. "Don't tell me you haven't heard. I heard some crazy stuff about you."
"Oh?" (Y/n) raised a brow behind her tinted shades, smirk still in place. "Well, care to share some of those?"
The girl's face twisted in annoyance, "Don't play innocent. I heard you've been bullying people since you got here."
Pointing a finger up as if she's got an idea, she exclaimed, "Ah! That rumor. Oh, yeah, I've heard those." Then she looked at the other girl, pity etched on her face. (Y/n) shook her head and clicked her tongue. "What a shame, it looks like we got another sheep."
Jaw dropped, astonishment, confusion and a tinge of offense flashed across the girl's face. For a moment, she struggled to formulate a response. When she finally regained her composure, she slammed her hand on the table. "Do you think this is a joke? Just admit it! Own up to what you did."
"Hey-" Juleka, bless her, was ready to intervene when (Y/n) raised a hand to stop her. She offered a reassuring smile to Juleka, mouthing, 'I'll handle it.' Though Juleka still felt the urge to protest, the nonchalant confidence in her friend's expression convinced her to stand back and observe.
(Y/n) chuckled, amusement still radiating off of her. "Well, I would own up to what I did, if I did anything. Unfortunately though, I didn't. So..." She shrugged, "Yeah, I can't admit anything. I'm also not the type to take credit for other people's work."
"You're just playing games, aren't you? I've heard enough about you to know you're trouble."
"It's like I always say, the world is a playground and I want to have fun. But don't worry; I only play with those who can keep up." The girl huffed an exasperated breath at having no response and turned on her heel. "Well, thanks for being so entertaining!" (Y/n) called after the girl's retreating figure.
She flashed a daring smile at the audience, revealing a hint of teeth. They promptly averted their gaze, feigning disinterest as they hurriedly continued on their way.
Juleka chuckled quietly beside her. "Since when do you ever say that?" (Y/n) blushed, leaning closer to the other.
"Jewel, hush. I just said a great line and I feel bold right now." She whispered.
Smiling, she whispered back, teasing. "You always feel bold, (Y/n)."
She was about to reply when she saw a person standing in her peripheral. Their class president, Marinette, if she remembered correctly. "Why don't you go first, Jewel? Check how Rose's doing."
Juleka looked at Marinette and nodded. She took her tray and waved, going out the door.
Fully facing the newcomer, "What?" (Y/n) inquired, a subtle teasing lilt gracing her voice.
Marinette's eyebrows furrowed at her casualness. "Why are you doing this? Juleka and Rose tell others that you're a good person. They defend you, even when they see that it's true."
(Y/n) hummed and smiled as if all this was a game that was amusing to her. "Want me to tell you a secret?" Arms now crossed, she leaned back on her table and tilted her head to one side.
