Enchanted

"If I say I love you, will you...chose to stay?"

       It was typical morning for me. I just let my eyes close for a moment for I already memorized what will happen for this day. I will be awake by the sound of my alarm clock alerting my entire dozing system. Afterwards, I will get up and fix my bed, I wont even badge an eye to a vanity mirror to check how do I look. Then, I will go to my comfort room and fix myself. Take a warm bath and stay inside my room to read ALL DAY.
See? It's so typical and monotonous that I already predicted what will exactly happen in my whole day. I just woke up a few hours earlier than my alarm clock for a little change.

Change... Why do I have this picture of a dude with waving blue hair like an ocean plastered in my head upon mention of that word?

As if on cue, biglang lumitaw ang muka nya sa bintana ko. Ahh yeah, I woke up earlier than usual because he'll be here earlier too.

Gaya ng nakasanayan I let him in.  And almost laugh when I saw how his lips stretch in a pout while glaring at me. Cute. I laughed.

"Ang tagal mong gumising!"
He murmured. I had to bite my inner cheeks  to suppress my laughter of how cute he is right now. I mean. Para sa iba muka syang kasapi ng satanic cult. Black t-shirt and loose maong pants. He always have this usual stoic face flustered on his face kung hindi ko lang sya kakilala I will  immediately be intimidated by his presence. But once you get to be close with him you will see the real him- bright and warm.

"Im not! Kanina pa ako gising. My eyes were just close."
I hissed back and watch him sitting on my swivel chair.

I furrowed my eyebrows when I noticed how he do not have his laptop and projector with him. Usually, kapag pumupuslit sya sa kwarto ko araw-araw bago sya pumasok sa school   palagi nyang dala ang laptop at projector nya para manuod kami ng Hunter x Hunter. Is this still part of the change.

"Bakit hindi mo dala ang laptop mo? Aren't we going to watch?"
I asked. Hindi na kalampas sa mata ko ang madilim na kalawakan sa labas ng bintana ko. Hindi pa tuluyang sumisikat ang araw at tanging mga bituin pa lang ang nag bibigay ng liwanag sa kalangitan.

"no." he smiled. But this is not his usual smile I am used to. It seems longing.

"We will be having stargazing." he added. My jaw dropped.

"Napansin ko kasi na iyon na lamang ang wala pang check sa bucket list mo."
He said while pointing the small planner hanging at the side of my room.

"pero bawal akong lumabas"
I whispered while fidgeting my fingers. I am not allowed to go outside wala rin akong gamit to check my stargazing.

"Hindi ka naman mahuhuli eh."
He smirked bago ako hatakin at alalayang lumabas sa bintana.

        The cold breeze of air made me shiver to the bones but the sensation didn't last that long. The coldness were immediately replaced with warmth when he  reached for my hand. He is always being like that. The source of warmth to this ethereal cold place.

Nakarating kami sa isang open space di kalayuan sa bahay ko. Para daw mabilis nya akong maiuwi sa bahay. Hindi rin kasi ako pwedeng mag tagal.

Inayos nya na ang dala nyang picnic basket at inilabas ang malambot na kumot mula rito para may maupuan kami. Inayos nya na rin ang stargazer na gagamitin namin. Hindi ko ito napansin kanina dahil iniwan nya ito sa baba ng kwarto ko dahil narin sa kalakihan nito.

He made some adjustments first and while he is busy I can't help myself but to watch him. Memorize  him, dahil sa buhay ko there is no certainty.

His blue wave like soft hair dancing in the sway of minty air. He is peeking in the stargazer's eyepiece making his back much more evident. His jaw is well sculpted. And when he look at me with that same solemn eyes. I just wanted to melt. Pero hindi yung pisikal na hitsura ang importante sa aking matandaan. Its the feeling while being with him. It's the peculiar warmth that I keep on feeling whenever I am with him.

"Tulala ka na naman"
He chuckled snapping me back from my reverie.

"Okay na ba?"
I smiled instead. Tumango sya at umusog ng kaunti para makasilip din ako sa eyepiece.

Ipinikit ko pa ang mga mata ko para may surprise. I heard him chuckled because of that.

"Bakit ka nakapikit?"
He pffft...

"Gusto ko surprise eh."
I pouted and I almost flinch ng maramdaman ko ang pagdantay ng daliri nya sa leeg ko. Itinaas nya ang buhok ko para hindi ito maging sagabal sa muka ko.

"open your eyes."
He whispered and my mouth flew when I saw what's in front of me. The northern star also known as polaris.

Sobrang kinang nito higit na makinang kesa sa iba pang mga bituin na nakapalibot dito. I even had to blink for a couple of times to get rid of the tears that mists my eyes. Surreal.

"Like what you see?"
He said making me look at him. His eyes were that of a midnight sky.

"I love you"
I whimpered.

"I love you..."

"Ina! Are you done arranging your stuffs?"

An aged man suddenly appeared at the the door. His blue hair is almost silvery in color now.

"sorry, Dad. I just found this."
The girl said and handed him a folded piece of paper.

" What if I had the guts of telling you how much I love you? It's just I love you but yeah I love you. But I can't love you enough to make me strong and stay."
