The next day rolled around, and though Mira would've chosen a lazy day over more social interaction, she was back at it. Shota had already left her to fend for herself, which she figured was for the best. People didn’t need to know she was living with her homeroom teacher. She could already picture the drama that would stir up.
Mira arrived a few minutes before homeroom and took a seat. Before she could even get comfortable, Mina’s cheerful face popped up beside her.
”Good morning!” Mina beamed, earning a less energetic ’morning’ from her fellow pinky.
Mina scooted closer, leaning in with curious eyes. ”Question for ya---your hair. Is it dyed?”
Mira chuckled, running a hand through her long pink hair. “Nope, this is all me.”
Mina’s eyes lit up. “That’s awesome! So, from your mom or dad?”
“Mom,” Mira replied, smiling at the memory of her mother but slightly wincing at her dad's. “She had the most beautiful, light pink hair. Kept it long since her teenage years, and always had it styled.”
“Why didn’t she cut it?” Mina wondered aloud.
“I... don’t know. I never asked her.” Mira’s smile softened.
Before Mina could ask more, the door slid open, and Shota walked in. He scanned the room, pausing on each student before addressing them.
“Seats. Now.”
Everyone scrambled to their places, eager to avoid an early morning scolding. Mira turned in her seat, only to lock eyes with a pair of red ones glaring daggers at her from behind her.
She smirked. “Hey there, Bakugo.”
“Shut the hell up.”
She rolled her eyes. “Touchy, eh? Isn’t it a little early for you to throw tantrums?”
“You want me to throw you out the window, you extra?”
She hummed thoughtfully. “Always wanted to know what that’s like. Go for it.”
“Crazy...”

The morning dragged on until lunchtime finally arrived. Mira’s classes hadn’t been bad so far---except for English. That was tough. As much as she’d wanted to join the girls from her class again, Kendo had already called her over to their table.
“Mira!” Monoma exclaimed as she sat down.
“Hey, Monoma-san,” she replied, digging into her lunch.
Kendo, seated beside her, asked, “Who’d you sit with yesterday?”
“The girls from my class,” she explained. “I wanted to sit with you guys, but I was starving and didn’t want to look weird wandering around.”
“Understandable,” Monoma said, nodding and taking a spoonful of his food.
Lunch with Kendo, Monoma, and the other Class 1-B students turned out to be fun. Even though she wasn’t in their class, she felt included. They were lively, welcoming, and had good senses of humor.
After exchanging numbers with Kendo and Monoma, Mira spotted Mina and the other girls cleaning up their table. She waved goodbye to her Class 1-B friends and joined her classmates as they all made their way back to the classroom, chatter filling the air.
As they settled back in, Mira zoned out, her mind drifting. She was snapped back to reality by the classroom door flying open.
“I am here!” boomed a voice. “Entering a classroom like a normal person!”
