I'd love to say that I kicked it so hard it went ten thousand miles after traveling through those goals.

But that didn't happen.

Instead, I managed to angle my foot so stupidly that when I managed to boot it, it had made a 180 turn all the way into the student car park, AKA 'The Druggo Zone'

And, from the amount of force I put into my foot, my body had managed to quite awkwardly jerk backwards, hence me falling on my butt.

So as I got up and turned around pouting, I expected my friends to come forward and embrace me in understanding and respect.

But instead, the a-holes just laughed.

In fact, they laughed so hard, they were lying down on the bleachers in tears, clenching their stupid stomachs.

Toni, still chuckling, lifted one of his fingers and motioned for me to go get the ball.

Although I tried to tell him that I could get kidnapped, or killed, I was still forced to go get his stupid football.

So here I am now, one step away from entering the carpark. My foot is about one inch from the ground, just dangling hesitantly in the air.

Wait...I am Grace Maree Watson, and I'm not scared of anything.

So I step foot on the carpark. Wow, what a rush!

Hmmm, I can't see the ball...

Oh crap... I'm gonna need to ask someone

Oh, he looks nice...

Wait, that's a girl...

Wow, her hair is cool!

Oh... I need to book in for a haircut...

Maybe I should get bangs...

No, I can't pull it off...

Maybe I should try a different colour...

"Yo! What are you doin' 'ere?" The gruff voice in my ear was enough to shake me out of my thoughts.

I jumped away from him, quickly composing myself and trying not to scrunch up my nose at the smell of smoke.

"I w-was just looking for my ball..." I spoke, trying to look into his bloodshot eyes.

He looks me up and down, before pinching the material of my soccer jersey.

"Ahh, you're one of them jocks" he chuckles, then motions for his friends to come over.

"Ohhh! We got ourselves a jock boys!!" He taunts, "Tell me babe do you have a swimmer's body?"

"Nah!" Another calls out, "She must be one of them gymnasts. Ya know... nice and flexible..."

I try and struggle as they crowd closer, boxing me in.

Oh crap!

They're gonna eat me!!

So, me being the problem solver I am, I use those three weeks of karate lessons when I was seven and punch that guy in the face...hard!

And God did it hurt!

But obviously, he was the one in more pain as he held his nose.

I would've liked to have stuck around and witnessed his pain, but I bolted instead.

And I ran so fast I wasn't really paying attention as I held my hand, because sweet cheese that punch hurt.

I guess Mr Dude-I-just-punched wasn't as bothered by his nose because I could hear him and his friends telling from behind me.

And, as cliché as it sounds, as I turned the corner, I did in fact run into a hard chest.

And they did in fact wrap their arms around my waist.

And when I looked up I saw Austin Barnes, who had his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

I opened my mouth but before I could get a word in, the angry yells of the druggies was getting closer.

I looked up at him pleading.

"I know you don't like me but please help"

His eyes soften the tiniest bit before hardening and he reaches out and pushes me behind his broad back.

I push my head into his back as I hold my breath.

"What do you want?" It takes me a while to realize that the scary voice came from Austin.

"J-just lookin' for some bitch" Mr Dude-I-just-punched stutters, obviously scared of Austin. I don't blame him.

I flinch at the nasty words and Jay, Cameron and Joe step beside Austin.

Jay takes a small drag of a little blunt I didn't realise he was holding.

"Well guys," Jay raised his eyebrows "I haven't seen any bitches lately"

"Yeah," Cameron added, "so she must have gone off somewhere else"

"B-but-" the puny Druggo was cut off by Austin's -you guessed it- scary voice.

"Leave Wen" Austin growled, I could only imagine what poor Wenny (AKA Mr Dude-I-just-punched) is feeling.

Sucker.

I heard the sounds of feet running off and all four boys turned around to me.

"That was awesome!" I said, clapping my hands.

"Why were they chasing you?" Austin asked, crossing his big arms across his chest.

"Well I went to find my football-well actually Toni's football that I kinda kicked over here and then that dude Wen came over and then his friends were saying very mean things about- well, anyway, and then the dude tried to get with me but I was like 'Nuh uh' and then I went 'pow pow' and punched him- which really hurt by the way like geez, and then I kinda ran because he was like super angry and then I ran into you and you were like 'raaarr' and he was like 'ahhh' and here we are..." I trailed off, taking a deep breath.

"Woah, sweetcheeks" Cameron chuckled, "you need to chill"

I laughed nervously then tucked my hair behind my ear.

"Oh hey," I chirped, "have you guys seen a ball by the way? It's a football so it's leather and-"

"We know what a football looks like, babe" Austin chuckled and God his chuckle was hot and I felt a little flushed after he called me babe.

"No we haven't seen one" Jay chuckled, ruffling my hair, making random strands go everywhere.

I frowned, sticking out my bottom lip.

"Oh," I said dejectedly "well thanks for the helping"

I turn around, ready to go look for the ball but I stopped when I heard Jay's voice.

"Hey, we'll help you find it"
