On the morning of Jake's first day at his new school, he stood in front of the imposing gates, his heart fluttering with nervous excitement. Everything felt so unfamiliar, from the towering buildings to the sea of faces. With a deep breath, he stepped forward, ready to mark this new chapter of his life. Jake nervously adjusted his backpack as he stepped into the crowded halls of his new school, his heart pounding with a mix of excitement and nervousness. Everything seemed so big and overwhelming, with students chatting animatedly and rushing to their classes. It was a far cry from the familiarity and comfort of his old school, and Jake couldn't help but feel like a small fish in a big pond. As he walked around the maze-like corridors like a lost puppy, Jake couldn't shake the feeling of being an outsider. The faces around him were all unfamiliar, and he longed for the sense of belonging he had left behind. Each passing minute seemed to make him more nervous, and he wondered if he would ever find his place in this new environment. Lost in his thoughts, Jake rounded a corner and collided with someone, nearly sending both of them tumbling to the ground.
"Oi! Watch where you're going, fucking idiot."
"Excuse me?! You were in my way!"
"Yeah? Well maybe if you would've just looked where you were going you wouldn't have bumped into me, dumbass!"
"Yeah? Well maybe if you would've just decided not to stand in the middle of the already crowded hallway I wouldn't have bumped into you!"
"Do you even know who you're talking to? Do you know who I am?!"
"No? Am I supposed to?!"
"Listen, just apologize and get out of my sight."
"No! Why would I apologize when it was literally your fault!"
"Apologize or else I will make your life here a living hell."
"Whatever," Jake mumbled under his breath. Feeling a bit of embarrassment, Jake scrambled to collect his belongings, cheeks flushing with humiliation as everyone was staring at him. He had hoped for a smooth start to his new school, but now, he couldn't help but feel like an outsider once again. But Jake didn't want to start problems with someone on his first day so he just walked off.
"Oh? Does he think I'm joking? That's cute," Sunghoon thought to himself as he watched Jake walk off.
Shaking off the encounter, Jake carried on with his day, his mood dampened but not defeated. He knew that starting over in a new school would come with its challenges, but he was determined to make the best of it. With each step, he resolved to put himself out there. But as the days turned into weeks, Jake found himself struggling to break through the barriers that seemed to separate him from socializing and making new friends. Jake often felt like an outsider when he walked down the hallways and seeing everyone with their friends. Despite his best efforts to blend in, he couldn't shake the feeling of being on the fringes of it all.
It wasn't until he crossed paths with Heeseung, a friendly face in the midst of the chaos, that things began to change. Heeseung welcomed Jake with open arms, offering him a sense of warmth and acceptance that he had been desperately craving. With Heeseung by his side, Jake felt a glimmer of hope amidst the uncertainty, a reminder that he wasn't alone in this journey. Little did Jake know, this unexpected encounter would mark the beginning of a journey that would ultimately change the course of his life forever. As he navigated the complexities of high school life, Jake would come to learn that sometimes, the most unexpected connections are the ones that shape our fate the strongest. His newfound friendship with Heeseung would lead him down a path he never could have imagined—one that would bring him face to face with Sunghoon once again.
