The next morning, they woke up with a renewed sense of purpose. As juniors in high school, they knew that this year would be full of important milestones and decisions. They walked to school together, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. At school, their friendship quickly became the talk of the hallways. While some students were happy that they bonded so quickly over time, others were skeptical or even envious, who wouldn't want to be like best friends with one of the most popular guys in school? But Jake and Sunghoon didn't let the opinions of others affect them. They were determined to focus on their studies and their friendship. As the school year progressed, Jake and Sunghoon faced their share of challenges. Balancing their demanding schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and their friendship was no easy task. Sunghoon, as the student council president and captain of the basketball team, often had a packed schedule. Jake, an aspiring artist, spent countless hours in the art studio working on his portfolio for college applications.

There were times when their busy lives left them feeling stressed and exhausted. One evening, after a particularly tough basketball game, Sunghoon sat on the bleachers, his head in his hands. Jake found him there and sat down beside him.

"Hey, you okay?" Jake asked gently.

Sunghoon sighed, looking up at him. "Just tired. It feels like there's so much pressure from everywhere. School, basketball, our families... Sometimes it's overwhelming." Jake nodded, understanding his frustration. "I know it's tough, but remember, you're not alone in this. We're in it together. Let's take it one step at a time."

Sunghoon smiled, feeling reassured by Jake's words. "Thanks, Jake. I needed that."

Despite the challenges, they made sure to support each other through everything. When Jake had an important art exhibition, Sunghoon was there, cheering him on and admiring his work with pride. When Sunghoon had a crucial basketball game or student council event, Jake was always in the front row, encouraging him and celebrating his achievements. They also made time for each other, even if it was just a few stolen moments between classes or late-night study sessions at the library. They cherished these moments, knowing that their bond was growing stronger with each passing day. One evening, as they sat in Jake's backyard, gazing at the stars, Sunghoon took Jake's hand.

"Jake, no matter where we end up, I want you to know that you're the most important person in my life. We'll find a way to make it work, even if we don't have the same classes."

Jake squeezed his hand, "It really isn't  that serious, Sunghoon we still go to the same school we can see each other at lunch if we don't have the same classes dummy!"

The last few months of junior high school flew by in a blur of exams, final projects, and other fun activities. Before they knew it, the end of the school year had arrived. As they looked out at the horizon, they knew that their journey was far from over. There would be new challenges, new adventures, and new opportunities. But they were ready to face them together, their bond stronger than ever. With a sense of anticipation and hope, they took the first step into their new chapter, ready to conquer the world together, hand in hand. Sunghoon had something to tell Jake before he went back to Australia to visit his family for summer vacation but he couldn't find the right words to tell Jake how he was actually feeling.

"Jake, I have something very important to tell you." Sunghoon said in a nervous voice.

"Oh, what is it?" Jake questioned with a voice full of curiosity.

"I-I um, uh, nevermind." Sunghoon was way too nervous to actually tell Jake how he was feeling.

"You what? Y'know you can tell me anything, right?"

"I-I have to go." Sunghoon quicky runs the opposite direction of his house.

"Um.. Sunghoon? You're going the wrong way! You're house is that way.." Jake said with a slight worry in his voice.
