For weeks, Jake had endured Sunghoon's relentless bullying, each day bringing new torment and humiliation. Sunghoon seemed to take pleasure in making Jake's life miserable, finding new ways to taunt and belittle him at every turn. Jake tried to ignore it, to brush off Sunghoon's cruel words and actions as insignificant. But as the days stretched into weeks and the torment continued unabated, Jake felt a growing sense of frustration and anger boiling within him. Then, one day, Sunghoon went too far. He cornered Jake in the locker room after gym class, his little "minions" flanking him like a pack of wolves. With a sneer, Sunghoon started spitting out insults, his words like daggers cutting through Jake's defenses.

But this time, Jake refused to cower in fear. But instead he stood his ground, his jaw clenched and fists trembling with rage. In a moment of reckless abandon, he lashed out, his fist connecting with Sunghoon's jaw in a satisfying burst of pain. For a moment, there was stunned silence, broken only by the sound of heavy breathing and the echo of Jake's pounding heart. But then, Sunghoon's expression twisted into a mask of fury as he lunged at Jake, his fists flying in a flurry of blows.

"Did you just fucking punch me?!" Sunghoon yelled while his friends just stood there laughing at Jake.

Caught off guard, Jake stumbled backward, his attempts at self-defense feeble against Sunghoon's relentless assault. In the end, it was Jake who lay battered and bruised on the ground, his body aching and his spirit broken. From that day on, Sunghoon's bullying only intensified, his attacks growing more vicious with each passing day. Jake felt like he was drowning in a sea of despair, his once bright future overshadowed by the darkness of Sunghoon's cruelty.

Heeseung, ever the loyal friend, tried to intervene, but his efforts seemed futile against the tidal wave of aggression that Sunghoon unleashed upon Jake. Every attempt to reason with Sunghoon fell on deaf ears, his heart hardened against any semblance of compassion or empathy. But then, one morning, everything changed. Jake woke up to the news that his grandmother had passed away during the night. The weight of grief pressed down on him like a weighted blanket, threatening to suffocate him with its crushing force.

As he made his way to school, Jake's thoughts were consumed by one thing and one thing only; revenge. He knew that confronting Sunghoon was risky, but he was beyond caring. He had nothing left to lose. After class ended, Jake sought out Sunghoon, his heart pounding with a mix of anticipation and dread. He found him waiting at the back of the school, a sneer twisting his lips as he was much shorter his opponent; Park Sunghoon.

But this time, Jake didn't back down. With a steely gaze, he met Sunghoon's gaze head-on, his fists clenched at his sides. "What do you want, fuckin' loser?" Sunghoon spat, his voice dripping with contempt. "I want to settle this once and for all," Jake replied, his voice steady despite the amount of nervousness within him. "I'm tired of being your punching bag. I'm tired of living in fear. I'm tired of you." Sunghoon's laughter echoed in the empty courtyard, but Jake remained resolute. With a swift motion, he swung his fist, the force of his blow catching Sunghoon off guard. For a moment, there was silence, broken only by the sound of their heavy breathing. But then, something unexpected happened. Instead of retaliating, Sunghoon lowered his fists, his eyes filled with a strange mixture of confusion and vulnerability. In that moment, Jake saw Sunghoon not as a bully, but as a boy-a boy who was just as lost and broken as he was.

Where once there had been cruelty and hostility, now there was something different.
