As Jake and Sunghoon's friendship blossomed, they became inseparable, sharing secrets, dreams, and laughter. They spent countless hours together, studying in the library, playing basketball after school, and simply enjoying each other's company. But one day, Sunghoon fell ill and was unable to attend school. Jake, concerned for his friend, spent the day worrying about him, sending texts and checking in to see how he was feeling. The following day, Sunghoon returned to school, feeling a mix of relief and anticipation. However, as he entered the classroom, he noticed Jake engrossed in conversation with five other boys, laughing and joking as if Sunghoon's absence had gone unnoticed.

A pang of jealousy shot through Sunghoon's chest, but he quickly pushed it aside, reminding himself that Jake was allowed to have other friends. He plastered on a smile and greeted Jake warmly, trying to ignore the twinge of hurt in his heart. Throughout the day, Sunghoon couldn't shake the feeling of unease that gnawed at him. He watched as Jake interacted with his new friends, his laughter ringing out like a melody that Sunghoon couldn't join. As the day wore on, Sunghoon's mood grew increasingly somber, his usual charm replaced by a quiet reserve. Jake noticed the change in his friend's demeanor but attributed it to lingering illness, not realizing the true cause of Sunghoon's distress. Finally, during lunchtime, Sunghoon couldn't contain his emotions any longer. He pulled Jake aside, his voice tinged with an undercurrent of hurt as he asked, "Why were you talking to those guys instead of me?"

Taken aback by Sunghoon's question, Jake stumbled for words, unsure of how to respond. "I-I didn't mean to ignore you," he stammered, guilt washing over him. "I was just catching up with some classmates... I didn't realize it would upset you."

Sunghoon's expression softened at Jake's words, his jealousy giving way to understanding. "I know you have other friends," he admitted, his tone softer now. "But I guess I just... missed you." Realization dawned on Jake as he looked into Sunghoon's eyes, seeing the vulnerability lurking beneath the surface. He reached out and placed a hand on Sunghoon's shoulder, offering a small smile of reassurance.

"I missed you too," Jake confessed, his voice barely above a whisper. "You're my best friend, Sunghoon. Nothing could ever change that."

"Ohhh, what's happening here?" A tall, handsome boy with black hair said as he smirked.

"RIKI, COME BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!" Jake yelled as he ran after the boy who was running away giggling and smirking.

In that moment, Sunghoon couldn't help but feel a little jealous again, that is until someone broke the awkward silence. "Um... Hi! I'm Jungwon, it's nice to meet you!"

"Hi." Sunghoon said coldly as he glared at Jungwon.

Finally, after another three minutes of awkward silence, Sunghoon was counting the seconds ticking by. Jake finally came back, dragging that tall boy along with him. Sunghoon's heart sank a little, noticing how Jake's attention seemed to be fully focused on the boy. "Sunghoon, this is Riki, that's Jungwon, Sunoo, Jay, and you already know Heeseung," Jake introduced, gesturing towards the group of boys beside him. "I met them this morning!" Sunghoon forced a smile, trying to hide the disappointment bubbling up inside him. "Nice to meet you guys," he greeted politely, extending his hand for a handshake. They all returned the gesture, offering Sunghoon a warm smile. "Thanks, it's nice to meet you too," they replied, his voice friendly and inviting.

As the seven of them walked down the hallway together, Sunghoon couldn't shake the feeling of unease gnawing at him. He tried to engage in the conversation, but it felt forced, like he was an outsider looking in on a moment that wasn't meant for him. As they reached the cafeteria, Sunghoon excused himself, suddenly feeling the need for some space. He watched from a distance as Jake and Jinwoo continued chatting, their laughter echoing off the walls of the crowded room. Sunghoon's heart ached with a pang of jealousy, but he quickly pushed the feeling aside, reminding himself that Jake was allowed to make new friends. Still, he couldn't shake the nagging sense of insecurity that lingered in the back of his mind.

Throughout the rest of the day, Sunghoon couldn't shake the feeling of being left out. He watched as Jake and the rest of the group bonded over shared interests and inside jokes, their friendship blossoming right before his eyes. But despite his best efforts to brush off his feelings of jealousy and insecurity, Sunghoon couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness deep in his heart. He missed the easy camaraderie he shared with Jake, the inside jokes and shared memories that had once defined their friendship. As the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, Sunghoon felt a sense of relief wash over him. He hurriedly made his way to his locker, eager to escape the suffocating weight of his emotions.

But as he reached for the handle, he felt a gentle hand on his shoulder. Turning around, he found Jake standing there, a concerned expression on his face.

"Sunghoon, are you okay?" Jake asked, his voice filled with genuine concern. "You seemed a bit off today."

Sunghoon forced a smile, not wanting to burden Jake with his own insecurities. "I'm fine," he replied, his voice wavering slightly. "Just tired, I guess."

Jake studied Sunghoon's face for a moment, his eyes searching for any sign of the truth. But before he could say anything else, the group of seven appeared beside them, their expressions bright and enthusiastic.

"Hey, Sunghoon, Jake," They all greeted, oblivious to the tension between them. "I was wondering if you guys wanted to hang out after school? I know this great café that just opened nearby." Sunoo said as he smiled. Sunghoon's heart sank a little further, realizing that Jake's attention was once again being diverted away from him. But this time, he refused to let his jealousy get the best of him. Instead, he plastered on a smile and nodded, pushing aside his own feelings for the sake of his friendship with Jake.

"Sounds great," Sunghoon replied, his voice more cheerful than he felt. "I'd love to join you guys."
