Everyone was back in the living room except Maira.

"What was that?" Himani asked, sitting between Aanchal and Antara.

"I am confused, too," Antara said. Both of them looked at Aanchal.

"If you guys don't understand, then how am I supposed to understand? I am as confused as you are." Aanchal said.

"Let us go to her," Himani said.

"And do what?" Aanchal asked.

"We will ask her what happened," Himani said.

"Like she is going to tell us. You know how she is." Aanchal said.

Himani thought of something for a moment and said, "Let us take Lovereet with us. I saw them chatting most of the time."

Aanchal nodded.

"Lovereet," Himani called her.

Lovereet came close.

"Do you know what happened?" Himani asked.

"I was thinking the same." She said.

"Only one person can tell us," Antara said.

"Maira?" Lovereet replied.

"Let's go to the bedroom and ask her," Himani said.

Aanchal and Antara looked at Lovereet curiously; hoping she would say yes.

Lovereet nodded. All the girls smiled and rushed to the bedroom.

They entered the bedroom and saw Maira coming out of the bathroom. She looked nervous.

"What happened?" Lovereet asked politely.

Maira shook her head.

"Please tell us," Himani said impatiently.

Antara held Himani's shoulder and said to Maira, "It's okay if you don't want to share."

Maira looked at Antara.

Antara nodded – gently.

Maira sighed. She sat on the bed; nervously.

Lovereet and Antara sat on each side of her. Aanchal and Himani stood in front of her.

Maira looked down. Lovereet wrapped her arm around her shoulder. "Are you sad because Charlie left in the middle or sad because of your boyfriend?"

"I am sad because I feel guilty," Maira said in a low voice.

"Guilty? For what?" Antara asked.

"How could I do this to my boyfriend?" She said.

Aanchal saw a tear droplet fall on Maira's thigh. She screamed, "Are you crazy?"

Everyone turned to her.

She didn't bother and continued, "You just told us what he did. And instead of breaking up with him, you are crying because you feel guilty. Did you fall on your head or something?"

Maira looked up at her with blurry eyes. "You are single. You don't know how it feels to love someone with all your heart. You won't understand why I am feeling guilty." Maira spat the words out from her choked throat.

"Trust me. I don't want to understand because I don't see anything to feel guilty about. Especially for your boyfriend." Aanchal was unphased by Maira's teary eyes.

"Then why did you do it? And why did Charlie stop in the middle?" Antara asked in a soft tone. Her profession had taught her a great deal about keeping her composure.
