‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ "To my favourite daughter,

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ I just heard from your professor that you accepted the invitation to the D.U.A.! Isn't that exciting? Your mother and I always knew you'd be attending there one way or another. Speaking of your mother, she prepared a little gift for you back at home before you leave since you will be dropped off here to gather your things. Madame Dimitri isn't a close friend of ours, but we've heard a thing or two about her. But I think you'll like her once you get to know her.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ One thing that I know for sure is that you will be sent to Egypt for the time being for your first year. As for your second, if you perform well enough, you will be able to stay for another. At least that's what I know. And by the time you come back home after your first year there, you'll have your own dragon! Isn't that exciting for you? I won't have to hear you complain about not owning one, which, of course, I am joking when I say.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ I hope you'll be able to spend time with your friends before you leave. Having a week before you leave isn't a lot, knowing that you won't be able to see them in a while, isn't it? Just give me an owl if you want to do anything special before you go, I'm sure me and your mother wouldn't mind.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Keep safe, don't do anything stupid.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ From the better Starling, your father,

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Lewis Starling.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ P.S. Tell James and Sirius I said good luck for their quidditch match this weekend! I'm surprised I still remember the quidditch schedule."

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ The girl laughed as she folded the letter back into its envelope and stuffed it into one of her boxes in her dorm.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ "To my favourite father,

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ I won't be saying favourite parent since it would be awfully unfair to mum since she's my favourite. Just kidding, I love you both equally. But all jokes aside, I can't wait to see what mum's gift is! I've been dying to come back home to start packing my things. Professor McGonagall already told me that I'd be leaving on the 28th and I've almost finished packing up my things here.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ And don't worry about me here. I'll be spending most of my time with my friends for the remaining week as much as I can. Although I will admit, studying is becoming one of my favourite pasttimes too. But I'll manage. And I'll be owling you if I want to do anything special, which I doubt will happen since im content with staying here at Hogwarts before I leave.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Best regards,

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ The better Starling, your daughter,
Elora Starling."

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ It had been two days since her talk with James. The two were... back to normal, to say the least. Elora would still go on about her day, still declining prank offers from the boys, rotting up in the library till her next class or when the sun went down, and closing the curtains that surrounded her bed in the dorm to continue studying. By this time around, she was doing the opposite of what her mind was telling her to do, and now, after reading the letter, she wasn't following her father's advice as well.
