"Run!" The Doctor laughed happily as he sprinted down the corridor towards the door. The person he had yelled out to was Ruby, his newest companion, although she had been smart enough to start sprinting before he even began yelling.

"Yeah! I know!" Ruby laughed as well, enjoying this far more than The Doctor thought she should. He would have brought it up if he hadn't felt the same way.

Shots fired past them, causing Ruby to yelp as her arm was nicked. "Why can't we ever land somewhere without something bad happening?!"
"What's the fun in that?" The Doctor called back as he looked at her and smirked before motioning for her to turn down an upcoming corridor. "Besides, how was I supposed to know this ship had been infested with Autons? You wanted to try out the randomizer!"
Before she could respond Ruby reached the corridor and turned down it. The Doctor quickly turned back to their pursuer and stared it down. It kept moving forward as it prepared to fire again.
"Come on, closer" The Doctor beckoned the mannequin man closer.

Finally, as the plastic man reached the Doctor, Ruby jumped out of where she was hiding in the Corridor and landed on its back. She screamed in delight as it tried to shake her off, she held on like she was riding a mechanical bull.
Now that it was distracted the Doctor pulled out his sonic screwdriver and aimed it at the plastic before pressing a button. The Auton suddenly went still and Ruby fell backward off of it so she was now sitting on the floor. "I cut off the signal so the plastic couldn't be controlled anymore"
