"Thanks for walking me home, you didn't have to." I looked up at him, realizing he was taller up close. "No it's okay you don't have to thank me. I'll watch you go in." we both smiled at each other.

I headed towards the door and walked inside, I gave him a small wave and smiled as he waved back. I closed the door behind me and I was spooked by Chase.

"Why are you smiling from cheek to cheek?" with his arms crossed. I contained my smile and looked at him with confusion, "What do you mean?"

He looked at me with disgust, "Were you just with a boy? Already?" I hit him gently on the arm, "Whaattt? Nooo."

He rolled his eyes at me, "Yeah yeah, I clearly saw you with a guy. In fact, he walked you home." teasing me. This time I shoved him to the side and walked over to the kitchen.

Devin was in the kitchen cooking up dinner. He heard everything.

"Oh Cynthia! This is Devin! One of the roommates that's renting with us!" standing beside him.

"Yeah, Devin and I already introduced to ourselves to each other when you went to sleep early for your morning practice! Same with Sean." I confirmed.

"Oh I see.. Well! Is dinner ready?" he asked Devin. Devin nodded and walked over to the table with the dishes. "Where's Sean?" I asked. "Oh Sean is going to come home a bit later." Chase responded.

All three of us were eating when Chase asked me, "Who was that guy you were with anyways?" creating an awkward atmosphere. Devin looked over at me, waiting for me to answer.

"Oh he's just my co-worker. I got accepted at his grandma's restaurant and he showed me around." Chase looked at me funny, "And you just met him? And he's already walking you home?"

I gave him a death stare, "Oh can we stop talking about this please. I just met him today okay, he was being respectful that's why he walked me home." closing off the conversation. "Okay then.."

Devin was quiet the whole time.

We finished dinner and Chase went inside his room. I was in the living room while Devin was doing the dishes.

"You shouldn't be letting a guy who you just met walk you home, after all he's just a stranger." Devin finally spoke up.

I looked over at his direction, in which he was already looking at me. "He's a nice guy, he won't do anything."

He scoffed, "Just because he looks nice doesn't mean he isn't going to kidnap or harm you." I got up from the couch and made my way towards my door. "Whatever." I replied and shut the door.

I laid down on my bed and sighed. A notification from my phone popped up. "Hey here's your schedule for this week. :)"

I smiled at my phone and texted him back, "Thank you! :))"

I saw the typing bubble, "I want to get to know you more. :D"

I texted back, "So do I! :3"

We then continued to text for the next hour until I became very tired. "I'm going to sleep now, goodnight Nick (insert yawning emoji)"

"Goodnight Cynthia, sleep well :)"

I shut off my phone and closed my eyes.

I was awaken by my alarm going off, I got up and checked the time, 9:45am.

I'm assuming everybody in the house had already left. Except for Devin.

I decided to shower and then get ready 3 hours early for work. I don't know, it's the excitement in me.

By the time I finished getting ready it was 11:16am. I got out of my room, expecting to see breakfast on the table. I was correct.

I walked into the kitchen and I see a girl, with blonde highlights. She noticed and turned around with a smile. "Oh you must be Cynthia! Hi I'm Christine, I've heard so much about you from Devin!"

I caught myself already smiling at her, her charisma is top tier. "Yes I'm Cynthia, it's so nice to meet you Christine. Did you make these eggs?" she nodded her head and pointed at the chair, "Go sit I'll cook you some spam too."

She really is delightful. Devin was right, I love her already. He got a good one.

By the time I finished eating, Devin came out of his room.

"Hey babe, I see that you and Cynthia have already met." creeping up behind Christine and hugging her waist.

"She's amazing." I commented.

They were both having their "couple" moment. So I excused myself and went back inside my room.
