"Myra's mother, Mithali, jolted her awake in the dead of night with a firm yet urgent tone. "Myra, get dressed. We're leaving."
Startled, Myra blinked away sleep and confusion, her mother's words piercing the silence. "Mom, what's happening? Where are we going?" she mumbled, rubbing her eyes.
Mithali's voice was determined as she replied, "We're getting away from him," referring to Myra's father, as she swiftly packed Myra's essentials into a suitcase.
Understanding dawned on Myra, who nodded, quickly slipping into her clothes. "Okay, just give me a moment," she murmured, her mind racing with questions.

"The cab's here. Let's move," Mithali announced, the urgency palpable in her voice. Myra's heart raced as she processed the abrupt departure, her emotions swirling with uncertainty.
As they settled into the cab, Myra couldn't help but whisper a farewell to her grandfather, her voice barely audible amid the whirlwind of change. "Goodbye Nanna. I love you."
Their destination remained a mystery, leaving Myra to wonder what lay ahead as they drove into the night.
