Myra's giggles echoed around the bedroom as her fingers swiftly typed messages in the group chat, with her two best friends.
The group included Lakshya aka Lux Soap, and Siri aka the Unserious One.
While Myra laughed at the memes sent in the group chat, a wave of nostalgia hit her. She was transferred back to her high school days, specifically her ninth year when she had just joined St. Joseph's school.

MYRA
Ugh..why do these subject teachers have to take the games period?
Just because Mrs. Shetty was absent for the whole of last week, she has now decided to take our Games Period for this week.
How is it our problem that she decided her mother's friend's cousin's daughter's wedding was more important than teaching us Coordinate Geometry?
"Children, you better stop shouting! I will be taking your games period starting from today for the whole week. No more arguments!" Mrs. Shetty exclaimed annoyed by the student's pleas.
"Ma'am, please. Take maths period from tomorrow." A girl pleaded.
"Oi. Why are you telling ma'am to take tomorrow's period? Tell her not take take any periods at all!!" Another boy, presumably Ridhwan exclaimed.
"Ma'am, I have no problem, take next week's games periods too" The topper of the class aka teacher's chamcha, Aarav Rastogi said.
Alas, despite all of our pleas, Mrs. Shetty didn't budge at all. She still took the Games Period. I mean, it's the start of the academic year and we have to sacrifice our games already??
I guess she felt guilty listening to our pleas and told us to go to the school grounds for the last 10 minutes.
As if ten minutes are enough to gossip and chatter.
As all of us formed the line and went to the ground, I just sat down near the stage.
I usually love Games Period but currently, I'm going through my time of the month, so I definitely cannot play or walk.
I joined this school just two weeks ago for ninth and I haven't really got along with my classmates.
My only friend was absent today since she has to attend her cousin's wedding.
While I was sitting, I noticed the girls from my class walking around the ground while talking with their friends and our seniors playing volleyball.
Then, I noticed a girl coming my way with another girl, presumably her friend behind her. I recognized them as they were from my section. They were looking at me, as If I was an alien.
"Hello! I'm Siri and this is Lakshya." The girl said excitedly when she stopped near me.
"Hi..I'm Myra" I said feeling shy.
I hate talking to new people.
"Why are you sitting here? All the other girls are talking. Are you okay?" The other girl, Lakshya asked.
"Yep, I'm okay. I have a stomach ache" I mumbled.
"Oh, don't worry! We'll keep you company. I heard you joined the school new." Siri said, pointing at Lakshya to sit beside me as she did the same.
