Authors POV
Luna's thoughts lingered on Lorenzo, even as she walked away from the hotel. She couldn't help but wonder about the woman in the photo, Eleonora.
As she pondered, Luna's mind began to fill in the blanks. Eleonora was a famous art artist, known for her bold and provocative pieces. She was also a multi-billionaire, with a reputation for being ruthless in business and philanthropic in her charitable endeavors.
Luna's eyes widened as she imagined the scope of Eleonora's influence. No wonder Lorenzo had her picture in his room.
Who wouldn't be drawn to such power and talent?
As she walked, Luna found herself lost in thought, envisioning Eleonora's art and her impact on the world. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of admiration for this enigmatic woman, who had captured Lorenzo's heart and inspired such devotion.
Finish with Luna
*********************************LORENZO RUCCI POV
Lorenzo slung his bag over his shoulder and pulled his suitcase, his eyes scanning the hotel room with a hint of disdain. He was done with this place, done with the memories that lingered in every corner.
Without a backward glance, he strode out of the room, the door clicking shut behind him like a punctuation mark on their encounter. Luna was just a blip on his radar, a momentary distraction from his pursuits.
As Lorenzo exited the hotel lobby, a sleek black car pulled up to the curb. My driver, Mr. Mason, a stoic figure in a tailored suit, stepped out to greet me.
"Good morning, sir," Mr. Mason said, his voice crisp and professional.
I nodded curtly, not bothering with a response. Then handed over my bags, and Mr.Mason took them with a silent efficiency, stowing them in the trunk.
Mr. Mason opened the rear door, and I slid in, my eyes fixed on my phone as I began to scroll through emails and messages. Mr. Mason closed the door behind him, and the car glided away from the hotel, merging into the morning traffic.
Twenty minutes later, the car pulled up to a sleek glass tower, the logo of "Lorenzo's Enterprises" emblazoned on the side. Mr.Mason opened the door, and I stepped out, my eyes scanning the building with a sense of ownership.
I strode into the lobby, my footsteps echoing off the marble floor. A receptionist looked up, her eyes widening in recognition.
"Good morning, Mr. Rucci," she said, her voice deferential. "Your associates are waiting for you in the conference room."
I nodded, my expression unchanging. "I'm running a few minutes ahead of schedule. Have them prepare the briefing materials."
With that, I turned and walked away, my personal assistant falling into step behind me as we headed towards the elevators.
I strode into the conference room, my eyes scanning the table where my associates waited. They rose to their feet, their faces a mix of respect and apprehension.
"Good morning," I said, my voice crisp and detached. I didn't bother with small talk or pleasantries, my focus solely on the meeting's agenda.
My associates retook their seats, their eyes fixed on me with a mix of admiration and fear. My reputation for ruthlessness in business was well-known, and they knew better than to cross me.
"Let's get started," I said, my gaze sweeping the room. "We have a lot to cover today."
The meeting began, with me leading the charge. My questions were sharp and incisive, my decisions swift and uncompromising. My associates nodded and scribbled notes, their faces pale and tense.
Throughout the meeting, my expression remained unyielding, my eyes cold and calculating. I was a man on a mission, driven by ambition and a desire for success. Nothing would stand in my way, not even my own humanity.
Just as the meeting was concluding, my gaze locked onto one of my associates, a man named Alex. "Alex, I believe you have something to share with us," I said, my voice dripping with ice.
Alex's eyes widened, his face pale. "N-no, sir, I don't know what you're talking about."
My smile was glacial. "Don't play dumb, Alex. I have evidence. You've been secretly meeting with our competitors, discussing a potential merger."
The room fell silent, the other associates exchanging shocked glances. Alex's face turned bright red as he spluttered denials, but my expression remained unyielding.
"You're a traitor, Alex," I said, my voice cold and detached. "You'll be lucky if you escape with just a firing. Now, get out of my sight before I call security."
Alex's eyes filled with tears as he scrambled to gather his things, his colleagues avoiding eye contact as he slunk out of the room.
My gaze swept the table, my eyes lingering on each associate. "Let this be a warning to all of you. Loyalty is paramount. Betrayal will not be tolerated."
The meeting adjourned, the associates filing out in stunned silence. I remained seated, my eyes fixed on the door Alex had exited through, his expression unchanging.
Authors POV
As the associates filed out of the conference room, they couldn't help but whisper among themselves. "Did you see the way Mr.Rucci looked at Alex?" one of them whispered. "He's ruthless, always has been."
"I know, right?" another associate replied. "I've never seen anyone survive a betrayal like that. Alex is done for."
Their hushed conversations filled the hallway, their eyes darting nervously towards Mr.Rucci office. They knew better than to cross him, and Alex's fate served as a stark reminder of the consequences.
Lorenzo Rucci POV
I was still seated in the conference room, listening to their whispers through the open door. My expression remained unchanging, but my eyes gleamed with a cold intensity. I knew my reputation preceded me, and I reveled in the fear it inspired.
Just as I was about to leave the conference room, a knock at the door broke the silence. My assistant, Maria, entered with a nervous glance.
"Mr. Rucci, there's a visitor for you," she said, her voice low. "He says it's urgent."
I raised an eyebrow. "Who is it?"
"A man named Victor. He didn't give a last name, but...he seems different. Confident, but not arrogant. And his eyes...they seem to see right through you."
My interest piqued, and I nodded. "Show him in."
Maria disappeared, and a moment later, a tall, imposing figure entered the room. Victor's eyes locked onto mine, his gaze piercing and intense.
"Mr. Rucci," Victor said, his voice deep and smooth. "We need to talk."
My instincts screamed warning, but his curiosity got the better of him. "What could you possibly want, Victor?"
Victor smiled, his eyes glinting with a hidden agenda. "Let's just say...I have information you need. Information that could change the course of your life forever."
