Emilia's POV:-
When I wake up the next morning I am in a good mood. I had dreamt that me and Louis had twin baby girls who had his facial features and my hair. As I get up from the bed I notice the soreness between my legs.
Not that I am complaining I looked forward to Louis's passionate lovemaking sessions just as much as he did. My man was big with unholy stamina and while sex with him was intense I also loved it.
I put on a dressing gown and go in search of Louis. It's still pretty early and I'm sure Louis mustn't have gone to work or all those royal duties that he was always busy with. To my surprise, he's nowhere to be found.
"Hi, have you seen Louis?" I ask one of the maids who's carrying a vase full of freshly cut roses.
" He's outside talking to a visitor." She says and looks at me as if she wants to say more but is feeling hesitant. After a while, she continues.
"It's Miss Leyla."
As I hear her words jealousy and anger flare up inside me. I used to pride myself on being cool-minded and reasonable but right now I am anything but.
" Where are they?" I ask trying to reign in my temper.
" They are in the front lawn." She says eyes wide as if she's scared I am about to do something unhinged and maybe she's right to think that way.
"Thank you." I give her a smile as I dash off in the direction of the main entrance.
I spot them standing near the huge wrought iron gates. Leyla seems to be pleading with Louis for something. She's giving him the puppy-eye look. Louis looks irritated and he keeps glancing away from her as if he was bored to death and couldn't wait to get away from her.
As I get closer to them I notice for the first time how much Leyla resembles me. She has the same wavy brown hair, and brown eyes. Hell, even her face cut and body shape resembles me. I guess Ariella didn't take any chances when she hired her to pretend to be me.
I don't remember if I told Louis about my facial features or anything like that. But we used to talk about literally everything and besides my identity there was little Louis didn't know about. Perhaps that's why Ariella took so many precautions. Her plan was foolproof. Luckily with age, she seems to have lost her touch, evident from her failed attempts to scare me into leaving Louis.
Or maybe someone else was helping her back then. And she wasn't as cunning as she seemed.
"Please don't do this to me Louis. You know what I have been through. I need the money for rehab. I know you hate me because of what I did but I couldn't reveal the truth because I was scared of losing you. You have always been there for me during the hardest times of my life. Without you, I would have crumbled. You were the first man in my life. My first boyfriend. Please for the sake of all those years, we spent together don't abandon me." She tries to grab Louis's hand but he shrugs her off.
Her words remind me of that day all those years ago when I saw her and Louis at school. When he looked at her like he had eyes for no one else but her. While when he looked at me there was only contempt and derision in his eyes. When he took her in his arms and kissed her in front of me.
"What the hell is going on here? And Louis why the hell are you even speaking to her?" I know I am being a bitch but jealousy is making me go crazy.
"I was asking her to leave. I have no interest in speaking to this person." Louis says calmly.
"The nerve of you to come here Leyla after everything you have done! Don't you have an ounce of shame!" I roar surprised at how aggressive I sound.
My anger only grows when instead of backing down Leyla raises her chin and with a sad girl look that she must have perfected over the years squeaks:
