"I hate this movie," I deadpanned as Sophia slid The Best Of Me into her DVD player. She looked over to me and smiled innocently but I saw right through her. "You're doing this on purpose huh?" She nodded and plopped onto her comfy couch next to me.

"I like this movie, you hate it, your day's already horrible, so I figured your least favorite movie couldn't hurt." Sophia joked as she reached across me to where her coffee table was where two tubs of ice cream were sitting in the same spot we had left them in.

"Uh, that's mine." Sophia shakes her head in defiance before popping the spoonful of ice cream into her mouth. I glare at her and she smiles, her eyes twinkling.

"Sorry, not sorry, its mine now." I sigh and grab the other tub of ice cream before opening it and eating a spoon full. We watch the movie in silence and cry as we hold each other when one of the main characters dies. When it was over, Sophia decided we should watch another movie, and another one after that and another one after that until it was really late.

"Soph, you're mom won't be in until later but I brought you dinner and-" Sophia and I look over to see Gabriel walking into the living room, a take out bag in his hand. He looks at Sophia before looking to me, staring at me curiously. I feel my cheeks flush but I can't make myself look away. All of a sudden, Gabriel glares at me. "I'll leave this in the kitchen and go to my room. Don't bother me." He doesn't look at Sophia but I know he's talking to her.

"Okay, you're welcome to join us though, you know, if you want company." Sophia motions to the empty spot on the couch (the one next to me) but Gabriel shakes his head and walks into the kitchen. Ouch. I turn and shoot Sophia a glare.

"He lives here?!" I hiss under my breath.

"Oops, I forgot to mention that part didn't I?" I nod angrily and Sophia smiles, turning back to the movie.

I sigh, sinking into the couch, before (nearly) silent steps catch my attention. I look over to the hallway casually and see Gabriel entering the hall that leads to the stairs. He stops at the stairs and as if sensing my stare, turns and locks eyes with me.

A chill runs down my spine as his beautiful blue green eyes captivate mine and hold me hostage. He suddenly smirks and I gasp under my breath in shock. God, he was too sexy for his own good. My gasp gets louder when I see his middle finger flip up to say hello and I frown, my face a mirror of his own now. Gabriel turns and climbs the stairs two at a time, probably not even panting when he gets to the top.

I hate stairs, well, any physical activity really, so stairs just fell under that category. I couldn't concentrate on the movie any more so I just tried to sit still until the movie was over. By then it was late and I didn't want to bother Sophia to drive me, so we agreed to a sleepover. I grabbed my phone out of my bag and called Mom.

"Hello?" She picked up on the third ring and I smiled.

"Hey Mom! Uh, is it okay if I stay over Sophia's tonight?" My mom stayed quiet on the other end for a moment before she sighed.

"Yeah, I suppose. No boys, and keep your phone on you at all times." I nodded before realizing she couldn't see me.

"Of course Mom, goodnight, love you!" She giggled at me before sighing.

"I love you too, be safe, goodnight." And then she hung up, so I did too. I turned to Sophia with a smile and she squealed in happiness.

"Slumber party!" A loud shut up was heard from upstairs and Sophia stiffened before scrunching in on herself. "Slumber party!" She whispered yelled before we both ran up her stairs and into her room for bed.
