Chapter 24.

[Rearranging & editing a few conversations here]

We followed kisaki to another building, he led us to a little meeting area with hanma & some other guy i don't recognize. There an envelop with money inside it on the table too.

"Make sure nobody knows about this, because if this gets out i'mas good as dead"

"Don't worry nobody here is going to rat you out, so do you know?"

"Yea, you wanna know the boss's movements?"

"Taiju's movements?"

"Yea if we wanna beat the black dragons we need info. on taiju, what he does on a typical day, where he is, what his doing & at what time. That way we'll have a general idea of what we're dealing with, knowing you're enemy makes them easy right?"

"I think i get it now..."

"I'm one of the boss's assitants, so i'm familiar with most of them. First of all the boss...-"

He got interupted by someone who walked in the room, i recognize that guy from before.

"What's going on? smells like rats in here"

"Koko"

"Tsk!"

"The hell? we're already busted sis..."

"Great..."

"Aw man"

Looks like we got caught & now trouble was brewing.

"Our last rat had it real bad you know... couldn't take the heat, so i think he killed himself"

"You got it all wrong koko! i was just...-"

"It's torture time for you~ get this shit stain out of here"

"Yes Sir!"

They started dragging out the only person who could possibly help us.

"Can't you just ignore this!? please!"

"Shut up! you're fucking dead! now then.... how to deal with the rest of you?"

He glared at us all, but before anything could break down kisaki spoke up.

"We're not here to fight"

He then glanced over to the money that was on the table, then back at us.

"A hundred Thousand"

"...What?"

"For 100,000 i'll tell you bastards what you need to know"

Before we could even answer that, kisaki gave him the money without any hesitation. Kinda surprising though, why would he rat out taiju? doesn't he like work for him or something?.

"I want to know when taiju is alone"

"The boss is never alone, his always got five soldiers with him. Except for one day..."

"And when is that?"

"Christmas day, despite appearances. The boss is rather a zealous christian, every year on christmas night he goes to church to give worship. Always by himself."

"I see"

"Is that all?"

"Yea that's enough"

"The boss is strong even when his alone, think you four can win? i can't wait for christmas day"

Before he left the room i got his attention by speaking up.

"Why are you betraying taiju? you could of just easily ignored us & left"

"I just like strong guys is all, if you wanna know more. That will cost you another 100,000"

With that being said he left, i still didn't understand that guy's motives.

"Guess the black dragons aren't a monolith"

"Yuki, i didn't want to know when taiju is alone just so that we could attack him"

"Huh?"

"You said hakkai was going to kill taiju right? When do you think he'd do that?"

"..... When taiju's alone on christmas day"

"Then you can stop hakkai on that day"

"Wait.. is that why you went through all this trouble?"

"What's wrong with going to the trouble to help a teammate?"

This guy is full of shit i know it, he thinks we don't know it. But we know what his true intentions are, me & chifuyu figured it out a while ago, but we'll just have to tag along with him on this ride for a while. So for now i guess we are a team.

"The four of us will top hakkai & defeat taiju"

"Christmas night is when we'll have our decisive battle in secret, so don't go ratting us out to any of the other toman members"

"Tsk!"

Chifuyu just growled at him, i guess his still pissed off at him. But i don't blame him, i would be too.

"There's something i've been thinking about too, mikey's not gonna last much longer"

"You said he was getting weak earlier.... what did you mean by that? isn't mikey the strongest fighter in toman right now?"

"Well.... his acting as if it doesn't bother him but, ever since the bloody halloween inccident. Mikey's kinda been getting worn out from fighting"

".... Mikey...."

"We been fighting for god knows how long, majority of the time is just me & sis. But i guess  mikey has been taking all the burden himself..."

He alway seemed so happy around me but i never even thought about that honestly, we been fighting all our lives. I honestly never thought he would get worn out from it, then again kisaki could be making this shit up just to fuck with us. So i don't know what to believe.

"Anyways... Toman's going to dissolve at this rate, so we got to support mikey."

"We don't have to join up with you to do that though, right sis?"

"........"

"We're going to operate without anyone else in toman, so no using any men from the third or six division either. So we need you two, i hate to waste time. So i expect an answer from you tomorrow"

He just walked out & slammed the door on us, which honestly pissed off chifuyu even more. His a jerk & always has been, but what other option do we even got right now?. Me & chifuyu exit the building & walked through the crowded city, i wrapped me arm around chifuyu's arm as we walked. He placed his hands in his pockets & kept a steady pace with me since i was holding on to him.

"I'm agaisnt this sis... we don't have to join forces with him, just the two of us can do this"

"Can we though?"

"Are you seriously considering teaming up with him.....? even after everything we learned about him?"

"I know but.... what other choice do we have chifuyu? & if mikey really is worn out, then that just honestly leaves us two."

"He could be lying..... mikey has always been the strongest fighter you know that, but kisaki likes to manipulate people & use them too sis plus....  you said we had to get him out of toman, so teaming up with his is going agaisnt what we wanted to do from the beggining"

"I know...."

"Then you know we can't team up with him"

I just remained quiet as my thoughts started to scramble around my head, i gripped into chifuyu's arm & he noticed it. He turned his face to face me & i'm sure he could see me stressing out already, i don't know what to do. I want to save hakkai, but i also don't want to team up with kisaki. This is all just being tangled up like a hay in a needle stack, chifuyu left out a sigh as he noticed i was starting to get stressed out. He put his hand over mines & tried to calm me.

"Ah... sorry sis.... i'm not trying to go agaisnt you're word, i'm just worried how this is all going to end for you"

"...... will you still help me even if i team up with him? i don't want to force you to tag along with me if you don't want to.... you can just stay at home i can go by myself"

Chifuyu got surprised i even asked that, but he could honestly tell i was carrying all the burden on my shoulders already. He took his arm out of mines & wrapped them around me holding me close in a bear hug, i got startled at first because i wasn't expecting him but he held me tight.

"Why are you even asking me that? you know i will follow you anywhere you go regardless of what you pick i ain't leaving you alone, you're my sis & it's my job to be there for you when you need me. So i'll keep helping you & protecting you, i'm not going anywhere. You can try to push me away but i'll always come back to you sis."

I just wrapped my arms around him & hugged him back, i burried my face into his arm & sigh softly.

".... Thanks chifuyu..."

"I was hopping to get you something for christmas day too but i guess that will have to wait, i guess we won't be able to hang out & party huh?"

"You don't need to get me anything....."

"I know but.... i wanna give something to my sis too"

I couldn't help but shuckle at his comment, afterwards we went to go find kisaki to give him a answer. Chifuyu already knew what i was going to pick so he didn't bother to ask me.

"That didn't take long.... got an answer for me?"

"We'll work together with you until christmas is over"

"A wise judgement, that really helps me out."

Chifuyu tighten his grip on my hand his was holding, i could feel that he was still mad at kisaki & didn't trust him at all.

"We're just gonna protect hakkai, so we're not gonna be all friendly with you guys"

"Fine by me.... this is one crooked team"

"Our goal is the only thing we have in common"

"I can't fucking stand you two...."

"Don't start chifuyu"

Chifuyu just groaned & growled.

"What's our team name gonna be?"

"Don't care & don't wanna know either"

Chifuyu scoffed, he yawned & streched his muscles. There was a forecast in one of the screens in the city, it said we might have snow next week. It sounds like we'll have a white christmas this year, after we agreed to team up with kisaki we went home.

Few weeks later we met up again we decided to go eat something together & just like the forecast said it was snowing & it was cold as hell too, something about going over our plans. Chifuyu was wearing a warm jacket & the uniform underneath it. I was wearing a warm fluffy jacket with a hoodie & of course the toman's uniform.

"Fuck is cold"

"Our plan is tomorrow, are you two ready?"

"Yea we are"

"It's cold as hell out here, sis let's go inside & get something to eat"

We went inside the cafe & ordered ourself food, we sat down at the table together, chifuyu sat next to me while hanma & kisaki were across from us. Chifuyu ordered ramen noodles, same as last time & shared half of it with me after he ate one half along with a strawberry smoothie, kisaki & hanma didn't order anything so only me & chifuyu ate. 

"it's the night before our battle, better get you're asses in gear"

"We'll carry out our plan in shibuya, udagawa christian church. Taiju will convenientatly go there alone late at night to pray, if hakkai is gonna attack taiju. Then it wont happen anywhere else but there, we're gonna wait for taiju outside the chapel, hakkai should already be in the church by then. Yuki, you're gonna reason with him"

"Me....?"

"Since you two are buddies, doesn't that make you the best girl for the role?"

"I don't think we're that close...but yea alright"

"And before hakkai & taiju can run into each other, the three of us outside will beat down taiju."

After we went over the plan we left the cafe, kisaki & hanma left without saying anything else. And me & chifuyu just stood outside as it was snowing, chifuyu put his arm around my shoulder & held me close to him.

"Well we're up agaisnt black dragon tomorrow sis, our secret plan is pretty much decided."

"Yea, i hope all goes as planned. If we succeed then we get to stop hakkai"

"And beat up taiju"

"Yep"

Chifuyu let go of me & walked around me so he was standing infront of me, he pulled my hoodie over my head & covered it putting my hair back inside the hoodie, i guess i was being covered in snow & he just covered me so i wouldn't get cold. He then zipped my jacket up so it was fully closed. He offered his arm to me & grinned big like an idiot.

"Time to call it a day then sis, i'll walk ya home"

"Chifuyu is soooo cold.....!!"

"Should of worn more jackets then sis, bring a blanquet with you next time"

"haha.... funny...."

He just laughed at me, i couldn't help but smile at him & wrap my arm around his arm as he puts his hands on his pockets again, we walked back home in the snow & just called it a day. Tomorrow was the big day, us vs black dragon, honestly is the first time that we'll be fighting without toman. No one in toman knows about our plan except us, not even mikey. I'm worried for mikey but at least i have chifuyu with me, christmas day.... it's unfortunate that we're busy & won't be able to enjoy the holiday together, but we have job to do. So let's just get this over with.
