📜 SIDDHARTH 📜
"Where is he?" I asked as soon as Arhaan took the call.
"One of our men has him in his trunk."
"Take him to the warehouse." I put the phone on the passenger seat and turned the steering wheel towards the abandoned warehouse located in the middle of the woods.
Today, everything will come to an end. We have already tracked Vikram's location, and Arhaan, along with the other men working under me, have successfully caught him at his hideout. But, I never expected Tara Maheshwari to help us find Vikram. I had heard whispers of her reputation, a woman as sharp as a knife, with a heart as black as coal. But when Mira came out of Tara's house, I could still remember how her face had been so pale. I still don't know what was said between them because Mira hasn't shared anything with me and from what I have been thinking what kind of conversation could have happened between them, I respect Mira's decision to keep it to herself.
This world is a dark and twisted place, full of people with cruel desires. Monsters in human form are everywhere, always on the hunt for their next victim. They feel no emotions, no remorse, possessed only by their hunger for power and lust. Sometimes, I think the world itself isn't ugly, but the monsters within it have scorched everything good.
I sighed at the thought and parked the car. I maneuvered the narrow stair down to the warehouse and crossed the short hallway that led to the back room.
The dim light of the abandoned warehouse flickered and cast eerie shadows on the cracked concrete floor. My eyes never left Vikram who was tied tightly to the chair in front of me, his mouth gagged. His face was a mess of bruises and cuts that might have been given by Arhaan.
Vikram's heavy breathing was like music to my ears, each ragged breath that he took only satisfied me. I'm going to make him suffer for every tear that spilled from Mira's eyes, every sleepless night she endured because of this wretched monster. I'm going to make him pay for every vile touch he inflicted on my wife. Today, there will be no mercy, no savior and no one will be there to save him from my wrath.
"Comfortable?" I asked, my tone aggressive which was carried with sarcasm.
Vikram spat on the floor, his saliva was mixed with the blood stained the concrete. "I'll fucking kill you, Siddharth Singh Rajput." He growled. "I'm going to destroy you and your beloved family." He rasped, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
I studied his body closely. The shirt he wore was in shambles. His usually carefully slicked-back hair was in disarray and even though he tried to remain unfazed by the situation, the hand that was tied to the chair was trembling continuously.
"Remove his shirt," I ordered Arhaan who was glaring at Vikram Mehra with a murderous stare as if he was already on the verge of killing him. However, Arhaan gave me a curt not before following my orders.
