-----------------------------------------------------------Following their initial encounter with the Mercenaries, the Knights took off to return to Mondstadt. As they made the trek back, Kaeya thought back on what the Engineer had said, and the solemn warning he had issued to them made him uneasy.
Kaeya: "...bloodshed, hm..." Kaeya whispered to himself. "I'll show those disgraceful Hilichurls what's what if I ever see them again." He scowled.
Eula and Amber took a glance at Kaeya, who was seemingly spacing out. They turned to give each other a concerned look before turning back at Kaeya.
Eula: "Uhm, Kaeya," Eula touched his shoulder. "Are you feeling well? Is it the injury?" She asked.
Amber: "That cut isn't that big, but maybe try asking Barbara to check up on that." Amber suggested.
Kaeya: "No no, I'm fine." Kaeya shook his head, trying reassuring them, although his tone wasn't convincing the two at all.
Amber: "Look, whoever those guys were, we'll get them again." She stated. "Average treasure hoarders like them would never try their luck against the Knights, right?"
Eula: "Amber's right," Eula nodded. "They're quite audacious to even try and threaten us Favonius Knights."
Kaeya: "Ordinary feels like an understatement, but that's not the thing I'm concerned about. I'm actually more concerned about her." Kaeya glanced at Klee, who was still hiding behind Amber.
Klee saw Kaeya looking at her and immediately hid her entire body behind Amber. Eula and Amber looked at Kaeya with both pity and concern.
Eula: "Listen, you were just trying to protect her, and I understand that you would get mad." Eula consoled Kaeya.
Amber: "Yeah, and to be fair, those guys were already getting on our nerves. It's not your fault that you had to let your anger out." Amber tried cheering him up.
Eula: "You were just protecting her, is all." She said. "Besides, Jean always scolds her every time she does her little antics." Eula remarked.
Kaeya gave a light chortle before responding.
Kaeya: "Well, if you put it that way, I suppose I was a bit harsh on her." Kaeya sighed. "I'll try to apologize to her once we get back to the headquarters." He then turns to the two of them.
Kaeya: "Still, I appreciate you guys for your words." Kaeya formed a slight smile, thanking them.
Suddenly, Kaeya's cheek started squirting out more blood as a slight stinging pain rushed over where the wound was.
Kaeya: "Ahh! ...to hell with this." He grasped his cheek to try and numb the pain.
Eula: "Oh... we're really sorry we don't have any bandages with us." Eula pardoned herself.
Amber: "Uh well... It's not much, but you could try putting my Baron Bunny on your cheek to try and stop the bleeding." Amber suggested.
