Since she'd first begun adapting to this new world that humans lived in, Lee Eun-yu had learned never to expect certain things.

She was half-surprised that Chan-yeong, a soldier she'd known since before the bombings, knew about the red ribbon wrapped around her wrist and about what happened the night Chief Ji's husband was killed.

She was half-surprised when the girl she'd encountered in the rain managed to find her that same night. The girl's wet hair was big and bushy when dry, but Eun-yu had never seen hair this wild before, even with the conditions the tenants in the sports stadium lived with.

However, Eun-yu was surprised when someone emerged from the bushes behind the girl, requesting they and the girl be allowed to leave without hurting anyone.

It was Yi-kyung. One of the many people Eun-yu had thought to be dead.

And then Eun-yu's eyes grew larger as she spotted the red ribbon wrapped around Yi-kyung's left wrist.

"I'm not going to shoot," Yi-kyung spoke as she approached where the girl stood. The girl seemed unsurprised but disappointed that Yi-kyung had appeared. "I'll just take the kid."

Chan-yeong didn't react to the bargain immediately, his gun still aimed at Yi-kyung, who was repeating the move back at him and Eun-yu, who suddenly stepped out.

"Yi-kyung, it's me," Eun-yu spoke as she tried to approach Yi-kyung. "It's Eun-yu."

"Get away from her!" Yi-kyung shouted as Eun-yu began to move past Ah-yi. Her next order was at Ah-yi. "Get over here. Now!"

Ah-yi faced Eun-yu, putting on the pink gloves hanging around her neck. "See you around." Ah-yi then, begrudgingly, made her way over to Yi-kyung, who still had her gun aimed at Chan-yeong and Eun-yu.

It wasn't until Ah-yi was in front of Yi-kyung and holding out her hands to her that Yi-kyung lowered her gun, taking out a strand of rope in her back pocket and tightly tying it around Ah-yi's hands, ignoring Eun-yu and Chan-yeong as they watched.

"I'm not going in there," Yi-kyung spoke sternly, referring to the sports stadium. "I don't need your help, either. Pretend you never saw us."

"Wait!" Eun-yu called out, but Yi-kyung was already leaving, pulling Ah-yi along with her. "Do you know Sung-hyo is in the city too?"

"She and Ji-ji don't need your help either," Yi-kyung replied in the same tone as before. Without uttering another word, the pair began to leave.

"Ji-ji...?" Eun-yu muttered. She didn't know Ji-ji was alive too. No wonder Sung-hyo was still in the city; Ji-ji must've been the one to decide they stay in the city... and Sung-hyo would always listen to her brother's plans.

By the time this new information had finished processing in the girl's mind, Yi-kyung and the girl were disappearing from her line of sight. Eun-yu reacted, grabbing her rucksack nearby as she began her plan to run after the two.

Chan-yeong tried to stop her, standing in front of her. "Don't go. It's dangerous."

"I told you I'd kill you if you stopped me," Eun-yu snapped, kicking the soldier in the groinal area. She began chasing after Yi-kyung once Chan-yeong fell to his knees.

Eun-yu lost sight of Yi-kyung faster than she'd hoped.

Shining her flashlight anywhere, the girl searched for any trace of where Yi-kyung and the girl could've gone.
