Hello 🤗 this is my first fan fic, but not my first book so make sure to check out my other book, The Heirs and the Evil King, it's a fantasy book. •Annabeth•

Annabeth is sitting outside of the infirmary with Nico, Hazel, Jason, Piper, Reyna, Frank, Grover, Thalia, and Leo. She can't help but remember what happened.

~flashback~

They had just won the war against Gaea, Percy came up to Annabeth, they had been separated during the war, he looked really pale.

"Seaweed brain you alright?" Annabeth asked.

"Annabeth," Percy sighed, he looked down at his stomach, Annabeth followed his eyes until she saw Percy bleeding. He collapsed. Annabeth yelled for help, Percy in her arms, after a minute or two the seven, Nico, Reyna, and Will came. Will quickly went to help him. They had to pull Annabeth away, she screamed and cried, "No!", she yelled, "Please don't let him die!" Her vision became blurry because of the tears, she watched as some of the Apollo campers put him on a stretcher and carried him to the infirmary.

~end of flashback~

Will walked out of the room where Percy had been taken, the demigods and Grover all stood up with anxious looks on their faces.

Will sighed and smiled, "He'll be ok."

They all walked into the room, Percy was laying on a bed unconscious, his raven colored hair was stuck to his face, his head was beaded with sweat, he looked pale. They all sat down around Percy, Annabeth right next to him. She held on to his hand, How could I have let this happen, she thought, my poor seaweed brain. A tear fell from her face, Thalia got up from her seat and went to hug Annabeth, pretty soon it was a group hug, but Annabeth never let go of Percy, she held on as if it were her lifeline, which for her it was. "He'll be ok," Piper said.

Annabeth stayed all night with him, just holding his hand and conforting him. After all that they had been through, going through Tartarus and being in two wars, she would never leave his side again.

It had been two days, Annabeth almost never left Percy's side. Only after Piper suggested on taking turns monitoring him, did Annabeth finally sleep, but not without nightmares, not without nightmares of that place.

~dream~

Darkness. That's all she could see. "Percy why did you leave me?" She cried. She knew exactly who this curse was from, Polyphemus. After all she did use her invisibility cap and tricked Polyphemus saying she was "nobody", but still she didn't understand why Percy left her. Did Percy not want her anymore because she was now blind? Or was it because she dragged him down here and now he had to fight aria all on his own, taking curses from all of his enemies? O gods! Did Percy hate her? She kept yelling his name.

~end dream~

Annabeth woke up with Malcolm shaking her shoulder, when she opened her eyes she could see all of her siblings were worried.

"Hey, you ok?" Malcolm asks soothingly.

She nods her head with years falling down from her cheeks.

"Was it from that place?" He asks whispers.

Again, Annabeth nods her head.

Malcolm hugs her, she soon is sobbing in his shoulder, "It was awful," she cried.

After a few minutes, Annabeth was finally calm, that's when Thalia runs in.

"Sorry!" She says as she pushes through the kids. She looks at Annabeth with a smile, "He's waking up."

Annabeth quickly gets up and hurries to the infirmary all the others are already there. Annabeth smiles when she sees his see green eyes again.

"Percy?" She asks hopeful.

He groans and looks around at everyone, "Who's Percy?" He asks.

They all stop smiling. "Please tell me this is a joke," Jason says sadly.

Leo laughs nervously, "Yeah dude, good one."

Percy shakes his head, "No seriously, I have no idea who Percy is."
