Nahmir sat on a Delta First Class flight about to land in Chicago, Illinois
He was only staying for three days. When he landed he would probably get something to eat, see his grandma, and go back to the hotel. The next day would be his uncle's birthday, everyone from their hood was having a candle light and he was going to his grave. Third day was his 12pm flight
Some people happened to be scary on flights, but Nahmir always went to sleep or watched something. He was never nervous, even on his first time flying
"Good afternoon, welcome aboard sir. Would you like a complimentary drink or snack?" A flight attendant approached him
"Nah, I'm cool. Thank you doe." He declined
"You're welcome, sir. If you need any type of assistance please just press the flight attendant call button, my name is Ayanna."
"Alright." He nodded, then looked away
He was ready for his flight to land, he wanted to see how his grandma was doing. She was always more emotional around this time of the year
His uncle, Niko was shot and killed in front of Nahmir. For Nahmir, it was like watching his father die in front of him
Niko did everything for him, bought him shoes and clothes, paid for him to be in football, made sure he had something to eat, stepped in when Nahmir's mother needed, and even disciplined Nahmir when he acted up at home or in school
Without him, Nahmir would be just like the rest of the boys in his community since his dad wasn't there to teach him to be a man or guide him and correct his wrongs
The plane finally took off, and he got on his MacBook to check notifications
He had notifications from his mom, sister, work, artists, and just one from Kofi
He pulled out his phone to check all of them, and texted his sister back first
