--Ella's POV--

I hear my front door open and tilt my laptop screen down seeing Peter walking in with coffee and donuts, "You look like shit. I didn't think you drank that much," he says as he pushes his sunglasses onto the top of his head.

I wrap my blanket further around me and push my computer onto the couch as I cover myself. He laughs as I let out a groan not wanting to think about last night. The couch dips next to me and the blanket is being lifted off my head, "What's going on short stack?" he asks as I glare at him. I sit up and push the blanket down as he continues laughing. He hands me one of the coffee cups and I sip it smiling. I guess he figured something was wrong when I left quickly after Lando did last night. Max wanted me to stay over but I couldn't even look him in the eyes without feeling Lando's lips on mine.

"Did you and Max have a fight?" he asks as I shake my head.

"Lando kissed me," I reveal as he stares at me with a huge smile and an unsurprised look, "Why aren't you as shocked as I am?" I ask him pushing his shoulder as he continues smiling into his cup. He kicks his feet up and leans back knowing he will be here for a while.

"Cause you're so dumb. He's been weird about you and Max, you guys hang out all the time, and when we went bowling he didn't take his eyes off you the entire night," he tells me as I stand up and pace the living room.

"He doesn't like me. I was the one who was in love with him for years and he never realized. He just wants what he can't have," I tell him as he looks at me unimpressed, "And he was not looking at me all night," I scoff. He doesn't like me. There is absolutely no way. I've read all the articles about how he goes around Monaco breaking hearts. He's a rich driver who could have any woman he wants. He probably thinks I'd be a good challenge because I'm seeing Max.

"Did you ever tell him you liked him when you were kids? Cause no offense you two are both oblivious unless someone is shoving their tongue down your throat," He says as I stop and look at him with my hands on his hips.

"I am not"

"What did he say after kissing you?" he asks sitting up as I cross my arms over my chest and look anywhere but his eyes, "Let me guess. You both ran off like middle schoolers and that's why you're stress editing," he guesses. He grabs my computer and sees a photo of Lando pulled up with flawless editing, "Did you like the kiss?".

"I don't know," I tell him sitting down to look at the photo, "It should feel wrong cause he's becoming my best friend again but...it didn't," I whisper as I rest my head on his shoulder.

"I don't think your heart ever let him go," He says putting his arm around my shoulder, "I know you like Max and want to see where it goes...but until Max asks you to be his girlfriend you don't owe him anything," he points out.

"Is this your way of saying you're team Lando?" I ask with a small laugh.

"I thought that was obvious," he chuckles, "Now tell me what kind of kisser he is? It had to be good if you're stressing out over it".

I lift my head and he hands my coffee to me again as we get comfy, "It was the kiss I've dreamt about my entire life. It was nothing like Max...they are both so different. With Max, I feel like I can settle down and live a comfortable life but when Lando kissed me," I tell him lifting my eyebrows.

"Team Lando is leading in passion," He says putting a point on a fake scoreboard," And Max is just hot?" He questions as I shake my head.

"No he's amazing but he's not making any moves. We have been on nearly seven dates and he always finds me when I'm working so he can see me before he has to drive," I tell him.

"Boooo. Tell me more about Lando," he shouts.

"And this is why you are never invited to Kelsey and I's girl talks," I tell him.
