And so, Diana and Robin stood at the top of the stairwell, gazing down into the garden of the Wang family estate.
Diana was wearing a dark purple off-shoulder mini dress, and her white hair was decorated with a black headband.
Next to her, Robin stood with herself in a pink party dress, with long transparent sleeves. Her dark blue hair was braided, and her face was touched up with light pink makeup.
Diana glanced to Robin, blushing slightly, but Robin didn't notice, as she gazed down at the party.

"Why are my guests so stiff?" Robin muttered, Diana following her gaze.
The various college age guests, all dressed up in formal party dress all looked bored.
Diana's eyes wandered from person to person.

She saw Piper Mairana, one of her high school classmates sitting in a corner, her nose buried in her tablet screen.
Piper had arrived in a maroon button up with black pants, her dark brown hair curly and wild.
Near Piper stood Rusty Mendoza, the campus flirt, standing next to her girlfriend, Cherry Rose.
The two of them matched, with Rusty's short ginger hair and Cherry's vivid red curls. They were whispering to each other, with Rusty's eyes locking with Diana's.
Nervously, Diana averted her gaze, and it landed on Emi Yumeko, sitting by the concession table.
Emi was surrounded by nerds, who very clearly overdressed. They appeared to be talking to Emi, but she was busy chowing down on a croissant sandwich at the concession table.
Diana's gaze moved past her, landing on another popular couple on campus.
Stella Parks and Nyx Collins. The artist and her goth girlfriend.
Their aesthetics couldn't be more different, with the blonde Stella wearing brightly colored feminine dresses, quirky accessories and her golden hair pinned into space buns, contrasting to the brunette of Nyx, and her chunky goth boots, printed t-shirts and ripped jeans.
"At least one of them didn't overdress." Robin commented, bringing Diana's mind to the present.
"Huh?" Diana followed her gaze, as Robin looked at Nyx and Stella.
"A lot of people overdressed." Robin furrowed her brow.
"Well." Diana bit her lip slightly. "A lot of people don't know how to dress when invited to a rich girls house."
"Rich?" Robin frowned. "I guess."

Robin glanced around the room, taking in the towering bookshelves, elegant paintings, and the glint of crystal from the chandeliers.
"This room is the room my father made for watching the garden." Robin said quietly.
"The windows are huge, it's gorgeous no? " she trailed off, getting lost in the splendor of the room.
"Yeah." Diana said, not so much looking at the windows, but at Robin. "Gorgeous."
She couldn't help but notice how the soft glow of the setting sun illuminated Robin's features, casting a warm, gentle light that made her seem even.
Robin cleared her throat, looking around. "My father once found a magical device." She walked towards a small desk in the corner of the room.
"He showed me it in my youth, telling me that it was the source of our wealth, and our power in this town."
"Why are you telling me this?" Diana asked, as Robin took a glass prism from the desk, her eyes widening as she recognized the device. "Is that..."
"I... I trust you." Robin said, looking to Diana. "We've been friends for a while, and..." Her cheeks were painted pink.
"I want to share this with you, Diana, because I feel like I've never had anyone I could truly confide in until now." Robin put the device on top of the desk, gently reaching out for Diana's hands, causing Diana's face to flush, and her heart to pound. As their hands touched, a wave of warmth spread through Diana.
She could feel a gentle, tingling sensation enveloping her, as colors began to emanate from the prism, casting a mesmerizing spectrum of light.
Blue light spun around Robin, covering her body in light that mimicked the appearance of water, transforming her outfit into a short and blue cheongsam dress, with the pattern looking like a stream, complete with pink koi fish swimming up the fabric.
Her blue hair was let loose from the braids, the style mirroring the appearance of a waterfall.
Diana's breath caught in her throat as she watched the magical transformation unfold before her eyes, before a purple light came from the prism, transforming her outfit into a short dress with a gradient of majestic purples and black, adorned with shimmering stars that seemed to twinkle and dance. She had a small pocket watch hanging from a chain around her waist. Her white hair was braided into two pigtails.
The two girls stared at each other, with Diana in shock and Robin in a trance.
The mesmerizing spectacle extended into the room, and the air shivered with energy, as the other colors of the rainbow fled from the room, the red, orange, yellow, green and indigo fleeting from the room.
"Oh no!" Diana gasped, moving to the window to see the colors, which swirled around Piper, Rusty, Stella, Emi & Nyx in particular.
The sight was blinding, and Diana covered her eyes.
