Now, Scias popped into my head as most names do based purely off the vibe, however, it's an actual name! I'm accidentally unoriginal for the millionth time, Scias was actually a sweet lil knight at the round table. So much for that!

As the antagonist, looking back on Rapture OG, I wish I'd made him less pointlessly evil and more relatable as a person, properly fallen from grace. After all, no one is inherently bad. Villainy (not the c*nty kind) is a learned behavior shaped by your perception of your life experiences. I want to make my villain much more interesting (hoho, just you WAIT. Come back to this when I drop the twist.)

I have like fifty different versions of Scias' origin and past and none of them are fitting quite right to me so we'll see what writing brings!

I should also probably Be Gay Do Crime wayyy more of what I'm showing BUUUT I hope you enjoy :>

The last little bit of my lore is, OF COURSE, sirens! Because who can resist! You can't have sirens without pirates without sirens! Now, I can't share everything because some of it has to be for the book BUUUT here's an overview of the siren lore

Like I've said at some point or another, I absolutely love to blend realism with fantasy in a way where neither the reader nor the character can tell whether or not it's real. Some mysteries aren't meant to be solved 💙

Sirens are friends of the Fate, and monstresses above all else. They are menaces to the seas and pirates are their kindred.

Also...I like the lil myth I made a little :>

Lastllyyy here is a brief peek at my plot notes.

Now listen, I can't just go around giving y'all the plot willy nilly buuuut here are a few shnips. Let me tell you, I tried and tried to organize my plot in like a table format or chapter by chapter, but it never worked. It was too rigid. The preparation I do on the plot before I write is very fluid and loose, it's all one big run on sentence with no punctuation. Especially since when I'm writing down a plot idea, I'm trying so hard to get it onto the page before I forget the stroke of genius. Plus, I don't know where a chapter is going to take me 🙂 I can't plan a beginning or end of the chapter, I have no idea what scenes are going to take however many words! Much less if I decide to detour with a new idea!

Now, after I write each chapter, I have a separate page that I haven't made yet so I can't show you, that I call "Chapter Summaries." This is for me to keep my senses about what happened in each chapter, the important story markers, things that I need to remember for each and for where the story is going. This is different from my run-on never-ending plot page where I just throw everything in there.

I also oddly find myself having two sidenote sections. I have no idea what distinctualizes them from one another aside from pure vibes. On the right are...sidenotes, and then at the end on the bottom...more sidenotes :>

If you see me saying "ASP," this is something I do a lot in my notes. It means "at some point." It's just a marker of an unplaced scene idea, I look through them routinely at multiple points throughout the chapter to remind myself of them and see if I want to head in that direction or start adding it in.

My ASPs are SO. GOOD. I WANNA SHARE THEM BUT I NEED YOU TO BE SURPRISED WHEN IT COMES UP.

SO THAT MY LOOOVES IS SNEAK PEAK WEEK! TOMORROW, YOU GET THE FIRST HANDFUL OF CHAPTERS FROM RAPTURE AHHH!
