POV Colby

The past few days have been tremendously tough for me. Rehabilitation and going to the kinesist a lot.

Our return home was getting closer and closer, and I really have to admit that I absolutely don't want to.

The time here with Faya is so wonderful.

I don't want to lose her. I kept thinking how I can still hear or see her. I am also extremely scared that she is not going to come out of her coma. Am glad already that Sam knows about this now. He says I should tell her. Even if it is her ghost being. Making the most of the time we have left together now.

Tonight we can finally shoot the video and do the ritual of Aaron and Femke, when I can be alone with Faya I'm going to try to tell her. Am hugely nervous about it. What if she doesn't want to? It's so weird too, asking a ghost????

It was evening and we had set everything up to record the video.

I was so up with nerves and hugely annoyed. I was doubting everything.

Could it be something? Is she going to remember this? Will I ever see her again after this?.... So many questions floating around in my head. Especially questions that make me not dare to do anything anyway.

1 question and it leads to 'don't do it'

Also, I don't want it resolved now. I want to do everything to make her stay as long as possible. It sounds so selfish but I can't let go of that thought.

We started the video.

Aaron and Femke were ready and started with the first questions.

'Is there anyone here?' Started Femke. We quietly heard 1 knock, meaning Yes.

'Niels?' continued Aaron on it. Also 1 knock in reply. Everyone was in shock already from what was happening.

'Niels, can you tell us something more?' Asked Sam.

'We are going down the alphabet. 1 knock for a Yes by that letter okey?' said Femke and started all the alphabet.

'A, B, C, D, E...' Went off Aaron like that. a knock at the letter D

'A, B, C, D, E' Aaron started again and then stopped at the letter E

'A, B...' Femke said quietly and the alphabet was said again at the letter B

'A, B, C...' knocked. 'A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H' knock. '... 'S, T,' knock.

'Debts?' Tried to guess Femke with the letters that we had. And that was confirmed with a knock.

'Debts? With whom?' Asked Faya and I repeated it as a question.

'A' knock. '... 'K, L, M, N' knock. ' ... 'R, S, T' knock.

'Anton?' said Aaron that was confirmed with a knock.

'Is that his real name?' said Skylar. We heard 2 knocks.

'No.' said Femke.

'Anything else you want to say?' Asked Aaron. I was no longer paying attention. I was so annoyed and nervous about it. I didn't want to find answers. I would if I could just want to step away from here.

'I'm sorry...' Aaron repeated.

'Niels... 'Why me? Were you threatened?' Said Faya and tapped my shoulder. I was so not paying attention.

'Faya ask if he was threatened...' I said quite angrily.

'Yes...' said Femke when we heard 1 knock. They continued for a while to find out a few more things but I wasn't paying attention anymore. I kept my distance. I made signs to Sam that it was no longer going for me and the video stopped for a while.

'Everything okay Colby?' said Faya.

'Pain...' I told her shortly.

' "We'll do more tomorrow," said Sam but I was already not listening and left.

'Colby?!!! Where are you going?' Shouted Sam.

'Give me a break please!!!' Exclaimed I and left them behind. Faya did come after me. I tried to speed up but going tremendously difficult with a wheelchair and 1 functioning arm.

'Colby why are you acting like this? We are so close! We have a name and we know Niels was threatened and...' ' She went on and on, stopping me.

'I... am... just in pain, leave me alone for a moment,' I said and then tried to stand up with my crutches and leave. I was so frustrated with the fact that I don't want to lose her. I don't want to resolve it. If it is resolved then she will probably disappear. She wouldn't leave me alone. She tried to help me but that only made me angrier.

'What is it? Why are you acting like this! Have I done something wrong?'

'No.' ' I responded gruffly and turned my back on her. I heard her crying softly.

'Okey, then let me down! Even though you promised to help me...! I'll solve this on my own if you don't want to help anyway!' ' She cried while sobbing.

'I want nothing more than to help you,' I said angrily.

'Ah yes, then why are you acting like this now? Can't it be resolved?'

'No, I don't want it to be solved...!!!' Shouted I and turned around. She looked at me.

'Why?!!!'

'Because I want you to stay as long as possible! Another 1 week and I'm going back home and the chances of me ever seeing you again are low! The chances of you getting through are low! Now you're still here and if that suddenly gets resolved now it won't! So I just want you to stay for a while because I don't want to lose you!' Shouted I. Everything was out. She knows. I turned to leave again.

'Colby...' she said quietly but I ignored it. It made me feel really awful. I continued but was stopped by her. I turned around and she pulled me to her and kissed me. It startled me which made me step back for a moment. We looked at each other. My heart was racing so much. Did I just kiss a ghost now?

POV Faya

I was shocked by Colby's words. He doesn't want to lose me. Is he in love with me? He wanted to leave but I stopped him. He turned around and without thinking I pulled him towards me to kiss him. It scared him so much that he backed away. This was hugely weird and embarrassing. We looked at each other. So many thoughts were going through my head and I think with him too. I wanted to try to say something but nothing came out. Instead, he silently leaned forward and kissed me. So perfect like in every romantic movie you could see. The feeling is so wonderful. My arms around his neck, his one arm around my waist. He looked at me with a sweet smile.

'This is crazy...' I said honestly.

'Say it is. Sorry I flew out.'

'No sorry. I understand.' He told me everything with what was on his mind. My coma, the chances of further contact or not, the time now, whether I will remember this when I wake up? ... all things I was also struggling with. We sat down on a bench we saw.

'Colby... this may not be for long now but want to make the best of it. If this can comfort you.'

'Me too,' he said and put his arm around me.

'And hopefully I'll wake up and remember this. And if I can I'll come and see you,' I said and put my head on his shoulder. That's how we sat there. All talking and looking at the stars.
