You are Shirosaki Kaori, a girl in the same class as Kuroo Tetsurou. You are someone who likes to act strong even though you are actually not. Because of Kuroo's coolness while playing volleyball, you developed a crush in him. And for some reason he liked to bother you during classes, wanting attention from you. Some of his friends told you that he liked you too, but you didn't believe in them because you thought they were joking.

Shirosaki Kaori's POV

" The next class is physical education. Please arrive the gym on time today, I have received complainments from your gym teacher for a few times already. " Our homeroom teacher said as he started leaving the classroom, and students started to head to the changing rooms to change in their gym uniform and went to the gym.

" Hey, I heard that we will be playing volleyball today. " A girl said while changing. " Really ? Then I could see Kuroo-San play~ " Another girl started to scream happily. " Do you know ? I heard that Kuroo has someone he likes now. " " Eh~ Who would that be~ " The two girls continued the conversation, but I left the room because I have already finished changing. Or actually, I didn't want to hear them talk about him so I left.

As a person that couldn't do well in sports, I tried my best to avoid participating during classes like volleyball or basketball, by hiding behind taller classmates so the teacher wouldn't choose me as a team member to play in a match. As I was spacing out, some girls beside me started to talk about Kuroo again, and screamed to tell him to play well in the match. ' What is wrong with them... ' Then the next second, the teacher called my name. " Shirosaki-San, can you help at the score board please ? " I looked at him and nodded, then I walked my way to the score board. ' Looks like I wouldn't have time to rest this lesson... ' I thought.

Not long later, the volleyball match started. The volleyball kept flying and smashing the wooden floor, making loud noises. I was standing at a corner of the court which was nearer to the gym main door, and Kuroo was on the other side of the court which was near the gym stage. So I could see his movements and his facial expression when he was playing. ' Of course he is good... He is the captain of the school's volleyball team afterall... ' I thought and smiled while observing him. Then Kuroo caught me looking at him. We made eye contact and he smirked at me. I quickly looked away hiding my embarrassed face.

After a few minutes, a girl from the opposite team of Kuroo called a time out, and she told the teacher that because of Kuroo's team also has Yaku, who was also a member of the volleyball team. " That is so unfair, how are we able to play against them ? We don't even stand a chance. Put one of them in our team ! " She demanded out loud. At first the teacher didn't want to switch the team members, but he didn't have a choice because the they won't stop ranting about it, so he switched a guy with Kuroo. When Kuroo was walking to the other side of the court, he looked at me and gave me a small wink. ' What was that about !? ' I asked myself and tried to hide my face in my sweater. Now he was at the same side of the court as I am, with his back is facing me.

The match started again, and players started to move around the court. I listened to the teacher's whistle and flipped the score board, and other times I just locked my focus on Kuroo. ' Why am I finding him attractive... ' When I was spacing out, I suddenly heard Yaku yelling my name. " Shirosaki ! Careful- " When I started to look in front, I saw a volleyball flying towards me. It was fast and I couldn't really do anything to stop that from happening, so I put my hands near my face, closed my eyes shut and waited for the ball to hit me. However, that didn't happen.

Bum. A sound was made, but nothing hit my face. I opened my eyes again and saw a figure in front of me, holding up his right hand while his bodying tilting to the right ride, recieving the ball. It was Kuroo. And everything was like in slow motion. " Eh ? " I said because I was feeling shocked. Then the ball flew across the court and landed as an out. Kuroo also stood back up straight and turned to me. " Are you okay ? " He asked. " Ye- Yes. " " You should thank me for saving you. " He smiled and starting to walk back to the court. " Nice save Kuroo. " Yaku yelled and Kuroo just laughed as a reply.

The match continued for a while more, and Kuroo's team won. He didn't chat with the other teammates afterwards, instead he ran straight to me. " Hey Shirosaki~ " He waved at me. I simply looked away avoiding looking at him. " What were you thinking about just now ? It made you spaced out like that. It's dangerous you know. " He said as he lowered his back so we are on the same eye level. " I'm sorry... " I apologised. " Hey don't say sorry. You saw my cool side didn't you ? " He smirked. " I wanted to protect you. " I didn't say anything because I started blushing. Then the teacher called Kuroo to help with something so he waved to me again and jogged away.

' He wanted to protect me... ? ' I asked myself in my mind.

After the physical education class, there was a twenty minute break. After I changed back into my school uniform, I walked to the vending machines and bought a bottle of green tea. When I was about to leave, I turned around and bought another bottle. ' This one is for Kuroo. ' I took the other bottle too, and smiled while walking back to the classroom.

When I got back to the classroom, Kuroo was not there yet, so I sat back down at my seat and took out a cute memo card and wrote a thank you note on it. At first I wrote ' Thank you for helping me block the ball just now. ' And I erased it. Then I wrote ' Thank you for what happened just now. ' And I erased it again. At last, I just wrote a simple ' Thanks. ' I walked to his desk which was across the classroom, put the card down with the bottle of tea on top of it. I stood there for a few more seconds, until I heard his loud laugh from the corridor, and I quickly walked back to my seat.

" And it was like WahHooo~ Then I said What Is Wrong With You !? " He said as he entered the classroom with Yaku. " I know right !? " They both kept chatting until Kuroo arrived his desk and saw the two things I left there. And he did the most unexpected thing ever. " Hey~ Shirosaki~ Thanks for the drink~ " He yelled through the whole classroom loudly, making everyone's eyes focus on me. I slowly turned around and saw him drinking the tea with Yaku smiling at me and back to Kuroo. I quickly looked back in the front to hide my embarrassed face.

' What is wrong with him... ' I thought while the bell rang and the next period started. Trying to focus on what the teacher was saying but my mind was full of Kuroo.
