Nagi paced back and forth in his house, the envelope containing his exam results clutched tightly in his hands. He had promised himself he would wait until his father returned later that night before opening it. But the anticipation was killing him, and he found himself unable to sit still.
With a frustrated sigh, Nagi decided that if he couldn't calm his nerves indoors, he might as well go for a run. Quickly changing into his workout clothes—a simple black shirt and matching shorts—he grabbed his phone and earbuds before heading out the door.
As he jogged through the streets, his playlist blasting a mix of rock music and the occasional guilty pleasure ABBA track, Nagi's mind raced with thoughts of the exam. He knew he had performed well, but the memory of Bakugou's formidable presence loomed large in his mind. If everyone had scored as high as Bakugou, Nagi knew he would have some serious competition.
Lost in his thoughts, Nagi eventually found himself at a nearby park, where he began to do laps around the track. His muscles burned with exertion, but the rhythmic pounding of his feet against the pavement helped to clear his mind.
It was then that he spotted someone familiar doing callisthenics in the distance. Jogging closer, Nagi realized it was Bakugou, the explosive teen from the exams. "Hey," he called out, surprising the blonde as he approached.
Bakugou glanced up, his red eyes meeting Nagi's with a mixture of surprise and recognition. Despite his gruff exterior, Nagi couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Bakugou than met the eye.
"Extra," Bakugou muttered under his breath as he stood up, taking a swig from his water bottle. His gaze bore into Nagi's, silently urging him to speak.
Nagi's grin widened as he faced Bakugou's intimidating presence head-on. "Have you gotten your results?" he asked brightly, the warmth of his smile momentarily blinding Bakugou in its brightness. The blonde nodded, though he couldn't suppress the frustration bubbling beneath the surface. No matter how much he wanted to yell, Nagi had proven himself to be strong, with incredible control over his quirk—not better than himself, but a force to be reckoned with.
"Yeah, I got them this morning, but the old hag wanted to wait till my father got home for me to open it," Bakugou grumbled through gritted teeth, his irritation palpable. Nagi couldn't help but admire the blonde's toned physique, clad in a black tank top that accentuated his strong arms, and black sweatpants.
"Stop looking at me like that," Bakugou snapped, his sharp gaze piercing through Nagi's playful expression.
"Like what?" Nagi teased, his smirk growing wider with each passing moment. Bakugou only scoffed in response, his frustration evident.
"How do you have that much control over your power?" Bakugou demanded, catching Nagi off guard with the intensity of his question.
Nagi's smile faltered for a moment before he composed himself, his eyes dancing with mischief. "My dad trained as a hero but swapped to medicine when he realized he could be more help as a support hero and a surgeon rather than a pro," he explained, his voice tinged with a hint of flirtatiousness. Bakugou listened intently, his curiosity piqued by Nagi's playful demeanour.
"That doesn't answer my question!" Bakugou interjected, his frustration boiling over.
Nagi leaned in closer, the playful glint in his eyes intensifying. "Maybe I'm just naturally talented," he teased, his voice laced with flirtatious charm. Bakugou's cheeks flushed slightly at the proximity, a faint heat rising to the surface as he found himself captivated by Nagi's confidence.
Taking a half step back, Nagi chuckled softly, his playful demeanour easing the tension between them. "But seriously, my dad trained me he was trained at UA, especially after my mom left. She hated my quirk, as it was too like my dad's. His is bone manipulation, he cand mend and turn things to bone but hers was a power called a magnet. She could attract metal or walk on metal walls, stuff like that," Nagi explained, his tone tinged with a hint of vulnerability as he shared a glimpse into his past. Bakugou listened intently, his expression softening as he absorbed Nagi's words.
