The next morning, Nagi walked to school with Bakugou, who lived only a few streets down. The blond teen seemed a bit pressed that he didn't get to walk home with Nagi the day before. "We have English this morning," Nagi mentioned casually as they made their way to school. Bakugou scoffed in response, his competitive nature evident. "I'm not going to help you," he retorted, though Nagi just chuckled.
"I'm fluent," Nagi added, surprising Bakugou. It turned out that Nagi was quite proficient in the language, thanks to his parents who had taught him when he was very young. The realization seemed to pique Bakugou's interest. "Guess I have some competition," he remarked, a small smile playing on his lips. Well, it wasn't exactly a smile, more like a big, cocky smirk, but it was still a rare sight coming from Bakugou. Nagi couldn't help but smirk back, feeling a sense of friendship with the usually prickly blond. Perhaps being friends with Nagi wasn't such a bad thing after all.
English class dragged on, much to Nagi's dismay. Being fluent in the language, he found it rather dull and decided to take advantage of the opportunity to catch up on some much-needed sleep. With his eyes closed, Nagi's features seemed unusually serene, his dark lashes casting delicate shadows against his cheeks. His tousled hair framed his face in a way that accentuated his striking features, and even in sleep, there was an air of quiet confidence about him.
As Nagi dozed off, Mina couldn't help but wonder aloud, "What do you think he's dreaming about?" Kaminari glanced at his sleeping friend and chuckled softly. "Probably boys with pretty eyes," he replied with a grin, stealing a glance at Nagi's serene expression. It was hard not to notice how effortlessly attractive Nagi was, even in his sleep. His golden eyes, usually vibrant with mischief, were now closed, their long lashes resting gently against his cheeks.
Mina giggled at the thought, her gaze drifting back to Nagi. "I would be too if I had boys with pretty red eyes like that, always looking at me," she confessed, casting a playful glance towards both Bakugou and Kirishima, who were indeed stealing glances at the slumbering Nagi. They seemed entranced by the raven-haired boy, as if he were the most captivating sight in the whole world.
"What idiots," Mina remarked, shaking her head in amusement. Kaminari laughed in agreement, finding the situation rather amusing as well.
Soon it was lunch, As they made their way to the cafeteria, Nagi scanned the options available for lunch, his eyes flitting from one dish to another. The aroma of various cuisines mingled in the air, teasing his senses and igniting his appetite. He reached into his pocket and retrieved his wallet, a habitual action whenever he was about to purchase something.
"Hey, Bakugou, can you grab something for me?" Nagi asked, extending his wallet towards the blond with a casual gesture. Bakugou, never one for unnecessary words, simply nodded and took the wallet without a fuss. It was a silent agreement between them, a small act of amity amidst their dynamic.
With Bakugou tasked with their food order, Nagi strolled through the bustling cafeteria trying to find a table, weaving through clusters of students engaged in animated conversations or eagerly queuing up for their meals. His eyes landed on Midoriya, who sat at a table with the girl who he still didn't know the name of and Ida, his expression a mix of surprise and discomfort as Nagi approached him.
"Hey, Deku," Nagi greeted, his tone casual and friendly. Midoriya's reaction was almost comical as he nearly choked on his food in shock. Nagi couldn't help but chuckle at the sight, finding amusement in the unexpected reaction.
"Why does Bakugou hate you so much?" Nagi asked, genuinely curious about the dynamics between the two. Midoriya's response was hesitant, explaining their shared history and the complexities of their relationship. Nagi listened attentively, his curiosity piqued by the glimpse into their past.
