Pollie Ashford's POV

Waking up to the sounds of birds chirping outside my window was a welcome alarm for me first thing in the morning.

Alongside the tranquility of the bright and airy cabin, the sunbeams seeping through the windows of the bedroom was enough to make me want to capture this moment forever.

Rome was still sleeping which is kinda new for him since he's the lightest sleeper ever, but today I seem to have awoken with a determination to surprise him.

Quietly and carefully untangling myself from his hold, I grabbed a robe and tip toed down the stairs.

He's always doing things for me, so it's my turn to do something for him.

I pulled up my phone, searching up pancake recipes before checking we had ingredients. Unsurprisingly, the cupboards were all fully stocked, so I found a mixing bowl and got to work.

Soon enough, my masterpiece was complete, so I found a tray and placed the plate of pancakes down alongside the strawberries and orange juice I found in the fridge.

Careful not to let my clumsy ass trip up the stairs, I managed to get all the way back to the bedroom without spilling a single drop of juice.

I used my ass to open the door, the light pouring into the room just as Rome was waking up.

A smile etched its way onto his face as he rubbed his eyes and sat up against the headboard. "What's all this Stella?"

His sleepy voice was the cutest thing ever. Well that as well as his slightly disheveled morning hair.

"I made you breakfast, duh." I teased, bringing the tray over to him before sitting down with my legs tucked underneath me.

"Thank you baby, you shouldn't have." He leant forward, nipping my chin lightly to bring my lips to his.

I gently bit on his lower lip before pulling away with a loving smile. "I love you Rome."

"I love you too beautiful girl." He tucked into his pancakes as I watched with hopeful eyes that I didn't somehow mess up and poison him.

He sensed my eagerness to seek approval and chuckled. "They're amazing pup. Here, try some." He cut a bit off and held it out on his fork for me to take.

I swallowed it, squinting my eyes as I judged my own cooking skills. "Hmm, could do with some vanilla."

"I think they're perfect."

Romeo raised my hand and kissed it before finishing off his breakfast. Though it was technically our breakfast since he insisted on feeding every other bite to me.

We shared the orange juice before he set the tray aside and pulled me into him. He was sat upright whilst I was on my front with my head rested on his lap.

"Thank you for being so perfect Stella. You're quite literally the best thing that's ever happened to me."

I stuck out my lower lip and pouted, raising my head to look up to him. "Rome, you're gonna make me cry with words like that."
