xiv. 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀

Chapter six
— call the amateurs!

"You're positive that what was dart?" Lucas questioned as the group walked "yes, he had the same exact yellow pattern on his butt" Dustin nodded "he was tiny two days ago." Lucas sighed "well, he's molted three times already"

The blonde sighed slowing her step walking beside max "so.. Lucas huh?" She smirked over at the girl "so Steve huh?" The red-head duped her look "shut up, not my type" she rolled her eyes "sure I could see the worry in your eyes when he almost got himself killed"

The blonde smiled to herself before rustling could be heard from the bushes "hey! Guys" the red-head said "why are you heading towards it"

"They were going back home" the blonde said as the creatures ran into Hawkins lab, Olivia's attention was drawn to something else as more rustling was approaching "hello" she spoke out-loud the blonde stood back as two people came out of the forest.

"Johnathan?" The blonde exclaimed "Olivia?" Johnathan said

"Nancy?" Steve said "steve?"  Nancy said in unison "why are you here?" The blonde said "we're looking for Mike and will" the two said.

"They're not in there. Are they?" The blonde pointed at the lab "we're not sure" the echo of the monsters could be heard. Screeching of tires were heard before the chiefs van pulled up in front of the group.

Steve and Liv hurrying the kids into the car, Steve slid in the car, realising there's no seats left for Liv, the boy took her wrist pulling her on top of him, sitting her on his lap.

The group ended up back at the Byers home "we can't stop those demo-dogs on our own" Dustin said as the group stood around the table.

"Demo-dogs" hopper slowly pronounced "demogorgon dogs" Dustin smiled "it's like a play on words" he shrugged as the chief dryly responded "okay"

"I mean, when it was just Dart, maybe.. but there's an army now" the blonde said "precisely"

"What do you mean?" Hopper said confusion taking over his face "maybe if we stop him, we can stop his army too?" Dustin spoke "the shadow monster. It got will that day on the field"

"The doctor said it was like a virus, it's connecting him to the tunnels?" The woman pointed to the drawings that were all over the house.

"To the tunnels, monsters, the upside down, everything."

"Oh my goodness, none of this is real" hopper exclaimed as the boys explained their theory's "this is a kids game" he groaned "no. It's a manual and it's not for kids"

"And unless you know something that we don't" Dustin said sighing "this is the best metaphor; analogy"

"Fine. An analogy for understanding whatever the hell this is"

"Okay, so this mind flamer thing.." Dustin sighed correcting "flayer. Mind flayer" hopper sighed "what does it want?" Joyce quietly said "to conquer us, basically" Dustin shrugged

"It believes it's the master race" the blonde said looking between them all "it wants to spread, take over other dimensions."

"So like.. how do we kill this thing?" The blonde asked "shoot it with fireballs or something?" Lucas raised his brows.

"No....no fire balls" Dustin chuckled "uh, you summon an undead army, uh, because..." Dustin said.

"Because... zombies you know, they don't have brains" Dustin finished "and the mind flayer likes brains"

"I want to kill it" Joyce said "we have to kill it" the woman said "me, too Joyce, okay? How do we do that?" Hopper said "we don't exactly know what we're dealing with here" Mike said "no. But he does" the blonde pointed at the limp boy sitting on on the sofa.

"Yeah, if anyone knows how to destroy this thing, it's Will" Mike agreed "he's connected to it, he'll know it's weaknesses"

"I thought he couldn't trust him anymore?" Max asked "and that he's a spy for the mind flayer now" she said

"Yeah, but he can't spy if he doesn't know where he is" Dustin replied.

The group split up around the house bolting up the windows, and finding an area to put will. The blonde had overheard a conversation between Nancy and Steve. She stopped in her tracks hiding behind a door to eavesdrop.

"What you and Liv did with, helping the kids" Nancy said making Steve stop "that was really cool," the girl said "yeah" he agreed "those little shits are real trouble, you know?" He laughed making the girl laugh aswell.

"Yeah, you and Olivia make a good team y'know" she chuckled lightly as the two went to move Nancy stopped the boy again "she's cool, Steve don't screw it up" he patted his back before walking away. The blonde panicked walking back into the house.

"Get away from the window" hopper yelled the group had ventured inside weapons in their hands they stood prepared for anything.

"Where are they" max sighed as the monsters growled "what are they doing" Olivia's heart was thumping against her chest she was frightened the screeching stopped abruptly "holy shit" the creaking became louder "is it dead?" The door creaked.
