In the weeks that followed, the group grew closer, their bonds solidified by shared experiences and endless laughter. Felix and Jisung, now accustomed to their new lives as wolves and the idea of having mates, found joy in each other's company and the warmth of the pack. Discovering they were both Omegas hadn’t been much of a surprise.

Yet, amid all the laughter and fun, Changbin felt a lingering sadness. His longing for a mate left him feeling isolated, even as his friends thrived around him. He never showed it to anyone, keeping his feelings suppressed alone at night. Still, the pack noticed his change in demeanor during movie nights or meals.

One day, Chan and Minho headed out to hunt, leaving Felix and Jisung in the living room. The two caught up on their social media, having received millions of messages from friends and family. They told everyone they had been on a cruise with no cell service, which people believed. They laughed and gossiped about all they had missed over the past two weeks. As they scrolled through their feeds, Jisung suddenly jumped up.

"JENNIE IS PREGNANT!" Jisung screeched.

"DAMN, NO WAY!" Felix snatched the phone from Jisung's hand to see the post announcing her pregnancy.

"Who's the daddy?" Felix asked as he assessed her profile and scrolled through the comments.

"To be honest, I have no clue," Jisung said, taking his phone back.

"Who was that guy she was talking to?" Felix asked.

"She never said, she gave no information whatsoever," Jisung said, continuing to scroll.

"You know who I haven't heard from?" Felix said.

"Who?" Jisung asked, looking over at Felix.

"Hyunjin. He's gone completely offline."

Jisung shrugged. "Maybe he actually went on a cruise."

"I don't know, but I wish we could check on him," Felix said.

"Why don't we? We need to go home to grab our things anyway. I don't think we can keep living off of Jeongin's underwear, you know," Jisung said.

Felix nodded in agreement. "True, we need to grab our stuff. I'm scared I'm gonna break out. I haven't done any proper skincare in so long."

"Bitch, same. Let's talk to Min and Chan hyung when they come back," Jisung said, going back to scrolling on his phone.

Chan and Minho returned with large deer slung over their shoulders. Felix and Jisung greeted them in the kitchen. Felix went over to Chan, wiped some blood off his cheek, and gave him a kiss. Chan's face lit up with a wide smile. Jisung saw the interaction and approached Minho to do the same, but Minho just made a disgusted face as he set the deer on the counter. Chan followed suit, then went upstairs with Felix to wash up.

"Why do you not allow me to love you?" Jisung said, turning around, pouting, and crossing his arms with a small huff. It was all an act, but he knew the alpha would give in.

Minho looked at Jisung's back and raised an eyebrow. He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Jisung's waist, feeling goosebumps spread across the younger's body. He quickly turned Jisung around and pinned him against the kitchen counter, trapping him there with both hands. Jisung let out a small gasp, looking up at Minho with wide eyes. Minho just stared at his beautiful mate; his brown eyes were common, but the stars in them were not. He basked in his mate's warmth, gently setting his head in the crook of Jisung's neck and rubbing his nose against his scent gland, taking in his scent as comfort washed over him in waves. Jisung wrapped his arms around Minho, letting his head fall onto the other's shoulder, eyes closed in peace.

"Eww, get a room," Felix announced as he entered the kitchen, rolling up his sleeves and getting out knives to cut up the deer.

Minho let out a loud groan in annoyance and pulled away. He locked eyes with Jisung, taking in his features, gave him a cheeky smile, and planted a quick kiss on his lips before turning and walking away.

"Shower, you smell like shit!" Jisung yelled after him, eliciting a laugh from Felix. Jisung rolled up his sleeves and joined Felix in expertly cutting up the meat and storing it in the fridge. They talked and laughed, finishing up with the deer quickly.

When they finished cleaning, wiping down all the counters and floors, Felix and Jisung headed to their rooms to get cleaned up. They met in the hallway and headed downstairs, finding Chan, Minho, and Changbin lounging on the couch talking. Each went to their mates and sat beside them, sharing a look before Jisung decided to speak up.

"Hey, Chan, Min, we were talking and... we want to go back to the human world," Jisung began, a hopeful glint in his eyes.

Both alphas felt their hearts drop at the statement.

Felix nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we were thinking maybe we could go back home and grab our things. Like clothes and stuff."

Chan and Minho exchanged a hesitant glance, relief washing over them but still wary of the risks. They understood the importance of their request. With just a glance, Felix and Jisung gave their mates puppy eyes, tipping the scales in their favor.

"We understand," Chan said slowly, weighing the decision. "It’s important for you to have your things. We'll go, but let's do it first thing tomorrow morning."

Both boys air high-fived from across the room, celebrating their success.

"Changbin, wanna tag along?" Minho asked, noticing the younger's sudden silence.

"Eh, I don't know," Changbin pretended to consider it, though he hadn’t even wanted to get out of bed that morning, let alone make a trip to the human world.

"Please come, please," Jisung pleaded.

"Yeah, we can take you to a barbecue place," Felix added.

Changbin perked up at the unfamiliar word. "What's that?"

"It's a place where you sit down, and there's a mini grill in the middle. You get to choose all kinds of meats and eat—" Felix was cut off.

"I'm in," Changbin said excitedly. He couldn't say no when meat was involved.
