There were six unfamiliar guys lounging around the living room—gave off an odd energy. It wasn’t the warm, friendly atmosphere he expected, but rather something heavy, almost intimidating
Hyunjin was confused and scared. He plopped down on the couch between Jisung and Felix, eyeing the others warily. “So... what’s going on?”

Jisung shifted uncomfortably. “Okay, um... this might sound really weird, but just hear us out.”

Hyunjin’s confusion deepened. “Dude, what’s going on? You guys are acting super strange.”

Felix glanced over at the other guys before turning back to Hyunjin, his hands fidgeting. “Hyunjin, we’re not... exactly human anymore.”

Hyunjin blinked, staring blankly at Felix. “What?”

Jisung jumped in quickly. “Yeah, uh, so while we were gone... we kinda... became part of this pack. You know, like wolves.”

Hyunjin leaned back, his face scrunching up. “What the hell are you talking about? Wolves? Pack? Are you messing with me right now?”

“No,” Felix said softly, his face serious. “We’re not joking, Jin. We’re wolf hybrids now. Like... we can shift and everything.”

Hyunjin laughed nervously, his heart racing. “What the fuck... this is insane. You guys can’t be serious.”

“We are,” Jisung insisted, looking at Hyunjin earnestly. “And we’re not the only ones. These guys—Chan, Minho, Changbin, Seungmin, Jeongin—they’re all wolves too.”

Hyunjin’s gaze swept over the others in the room, all of whom were watching him carefully. A chill ran down his spine. “I... I don’t understand. Are you telling me that all of you... turn into wolves? Like, werewolves?”

Felix nodded slowly. “Yeah, pretty much.”

Hyunjin let out a disbelieving breath. “This is insane. You guys disappeared for weeks, and now you’re telling me you’re—” His voice caught in his throat. “You’re not human anymore?”

“Not fully,” Jisung replied quietly.

Hyunjin shook his head, running a hand through his hair. “This is too much...”

And then Changbin, who had been sitting silently in the corner, suddenly stood up, his eyes fixed on Hyunjin. He had been quiet this entire time, unsure of how to approach the situation, but now that the truth was out, he couldn’t stay silent any longer.

“Hyunjin,” Changbin said, his voice low but firm. “There’s more. I’m your mate.”

Hyunjin’s head snapped toward Changbin, his eyes wide with shock. “What?”

Changbin stepped closer, his intense gaze locked onto Hyunjin. “You’re my mate, Hyunjin. It’s why I’ve felt this pull toward you from the moment you walked in.”

Hyunjin stared at him, completely thrown. “Your... mate?” He laughed, but it was humorless, edged with panic. “No, no. You’ve got it wrong. I’m straight. I’ve always been straight.”

The words hung in the air, heavy and painful. Changbin’s face fell, his heart sinking. The hope he had felt moments ago began to crumble. “That doesn’t matter,” Changbin said softly. “The bond between mates is stronger than anything. It doesn’t care about things like that.”

Hyunjin’s chest tightened, overwhelmed by the weight of it all. “This is too much. I can’t—” His voice faltered, his mind racing with confusion and fear. The word “mate” rang in his ears, making everything feel surreal.

Changbin took a hesitant step closer, but Hyunjin recoiled. “No... I can’t do this.” His breathing quickened, his heart pounding in his chest. “I don’t want this. I don’t want any of this!”

Felix and Jisung looked on in horror, realizing what was about to happen but powerless to stop it.

“I... I reject this!” Hyunjin shouted, the words spilling out in a wave of panic before he even understood their full impact. “I reject you, Changbin. I reject all of this!”

Changbin’s face went pale, and the room seemed to go still, the weight of Hyunjin’s words hanging thick in the air. Felix and Jisung gasped, their eyes wide in disbelief.

The rejection hit Changbin like a physical blow. He staggered back, his eyes filled with a pain that cut deeper than any wound. “Hyunjin... you don’t understand what you just did.”

Hyunjin’s breath hitched, realizing too late the severity of his words. He stood there, frozen, his world spiraling out of control.

“I—” Hyunjin started, his voice trembling. But before he could say anything more, Changbin turned and walked away, his shoulders hunched, the weight of rejection bearing down on him.

Jisung reached out toward Hyunjin, his voice soft. “Hyunjin...”

But Hyunjin couldn’t take it anymore. “I need to go,” he said, his voice shaky as he backed toward the door. “I need... I need some air.”

Without another word, Hyunjin bolted out of the cabin, the door slamming behind him, leaving Felix, Jisung, and the rest of the pack in stunned silence. Changbin stood off to the side, his heart shattered, knowing that the bond he had waited his whole life for had just been severed.

I was thinking about finishing the story soon, as in dropping all chapters at once, yes or no?
