That night I couldn't sleep. I tossed around, not getting a single second of rest.Since he left my room, we didn't have any communication beside a polite request of the rice bowl at the dinner table.
My eyes shot open. I don't know for how long I by now tried to fall asleep, but every time the memories from today haunted me in the back of my mind. I fiddled after my phone on the night stand and it was 2 AM.
I sighed to myself and threw the duvet off me, slipping on my bunny slippers and tip toed to my door and down the hall.
From some of the rooms I could hear assuring snores, which actually was a good sign. It meant I didn't wake them up.
The house was both drowned in loud silence and black darkness, so I turned on the flashlight on my phone to brighten up my way downstairs.
The living room was empty, which pretty much showed all of them had gone to bed.
Though as I turned around the corner to the kitchen I saw some light source and with it, a shadow.
But not like those creepy ones from the horror movies. In fact, it was human.
Yoongi was sitting in front of the freezer with his back turned to me. I didn't knew what he was doing, but now I wanted to know.
"Oppa."
I could literally see his hair stand up in fear and shock as he half spun around, half fell, eyes widened and pupils larger than normal.
When he realized it was just me he muttered curses. "Aish Yoongi calm down, it's just your very lovely little sis. No need to pee yourself."
I earned a bitter gaze from him as I walked closer. "What are you even doing here at such time?"
He shrugged. "Midnight snack. Jin's cooking was incredibly, but I was still hungry since Jungkook ate most of the food away."
I tried to peek over his shoulder to see his hands.
"What are you eating?"
He held up a pack of his favourite matcha mochis. We always had some in the freezer when Yoongi was visiting over the weekend or something. I guess the hyungs figured that out as well.
Well, that's how you score with him.
"And what are you doing up at 2 AM?"
I shrugged together. I didn't know if I should tell my brother the truth. Thinking about all those times when one of the member even just try to get close to me he overreacted and got way to overprotective about me. I don't think Taehyung confessing to me would be better. Pretty much the opposite.
"I'm on my period."
That was the only stupid excuse I could make up with. But to be honest, it wasn't that absurd.
When I was on my period I sometimes had very bad cramps, but since Yoongi prohibited me to take any sorts of painkillers I often couldn't sleep at night. He told me they were bad for the body and stuff.
"Mhm." Was his only answer.
I walked pass him towards the freezer, shoving him out the way in the process. He didn't care a slight bit.
I opened it and shuffled through the frozen snacks. I found a package of cherry mochis.
Hm, better than nothing I guess.
I unwrapped the mochi and bit into it. I sat down beside my brother on the cold tile, leaning on the counter behind me.
"Seoyeon?"
