Chapter 35 / Han River

3 years later...

The bright and warm light of the sun shining through the window slowly woke me up. I smiled to myself, the summer was here once again.

I looked to the other side. Comfortable cuddled up to my body laid my one true love. Taehyung was still fast asleep, his cheeks adorably rounded from him squished against my shoulder. I lazily let my fingers play with the silky strands of his hair and he gave a soft hum of satisfaction.

"Good morning babygirl."

His raspy voice rang in my ears and my smile grew. "Good morning to you too." No other words were shared as we laid there in silence, cuddled up to one another and enjoying each other's presence.

Eventually, he shifted and went to stand up, but not before peppering a few kisses all over my face. I was quick to follow him suit, halting him in his tracks for a quick proper kiss before we went to the bathroom.

After we got ready and dressed we headed out, knowing the rest of BTS was out today as well. We were just slowly strolling down the street as Taehyung spoke up. "Hey, do you wanna go out tonight?" I looked over at him and nodded. "Yeah sure, just please don't make it something too fancy. I have enough of expensive dresses and heels since that red carpet event last week."

He huffed out a laugh. "Oh I remember you walking into the dorm and literally throwing the shoes around the living room. You have no idea how amusing that sight was."

"I could tell. You guys were wheezing at my drained self."

We walked a bit in silence, watching people rush by, not paying attention to us for once. It was nice knowing that even though we were idols we could do stuff like that. Go out and just walk along the street, without a care in the world.

We went to get breakfast at one of our favourite waffle houses, enjoying some very good Belgian waffles and coffee. After that, we walked back home and stayed in until the evening.

"Bubble, we got to leave in 10 minutes!"

I almost poked my eye with the mascara wand as Taehyung hopped into my room, partly singing, partly yelling. I looked over at him and gave him a slight frown before mumbling. "Give me two minutes." I saw him nodding through the mirror and then heard his footsteps fainting as he walked out.

I huffed out a puff of air and went back to give my makeup the finishing touches. Since Taehyung was so nice to take my advice that we wouldn't go anywhere fancy he told me to put on something comfortable and casual, so I just went with a nice top and some baggy jeans.

I looked into the mirror one last time, giving myself an awkward thumbs up about my outfit and walked downstairs, finding Taehyung sprawled out on the couch scrolling through his phone. He rocked a dark blue tank top and also baggy jeans, matching his fit with silver rings, a necklace and very cool earrings that dangled from his ears. His blonde hair really finished the look off.

I walked towards him and looked over his shoulder, ready to scare him. "Don't even try, I already heard you when you came down the stairs."

I sighed in frustration and shoved him up from his seating position. "Come on, I don't want to wait any longer. We often don't have the time to go out at all, so move your butt!" "Okay, okay calm down, I surrender."

I hurried him to slip on his sneakers and off we went.

I already knew the game: even if I begged, he would never tell me where we went when we actually had the time to go out on a date, so at some point, I just didn't even ask anymore. But I was damn sure he would take me somewhere great.
