Ne Zhan and Ne Ying perked up as they felt their masters' energy calling out to them. Both dragons rose to the sky, darkening it as they let out roars, rushing towards their masters' energy.
Ne Ying spoke telepathically to Ne Zhan, 'Do you sense that, Ne Zhan? Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan need us.' As they glide through the sky as if swimming in water. The scales on their noddle-like bodies glimmer as they move through the clouds.
'Indeed, I sense the urgency of their summons, Ne Ying,' Ne Zhan replied telepathically as the two majestic dragons surged through the clouds with the grace of dancers.
'We must move with haste, my friend. The disturbance in their energy is palpable, and we must not tarry. The fate of our masters may be at stake.'
The harmonious resonance of Ne Ying's and Ne Zhan's roars echoed throughout the sky as they pushed onward, their scales reflecting the light from the sun as if they were prisms.
Their bodys sliced through the cool air as they followed the urgent call of their masters, Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan.
The landscape unfolded below—a familiar tapestry of forests and hills. The dragons' eyes scanned for any sign of trouble. Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan were not ones to summon them lightly.
"There," Ne Ying said, her voice a low rumble. "The gnarled tree in the clearing."
Ne Zhan nodded. "Let us approach quietly. We don't want to alert our enemies."
The dragons descended, their massive forms blending into the shadows. Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan stood near the ancient tree, their expressions grave.
"Ne Ying, Ne Zhan," Wei Wuxian greeted them. "Thank you for coming. We face a powerful adversary. This tree is the source of their dark energy."
Lan Zhan's voice echoed in their minds. "We must destroy it. But it won't be easy."
"We can lend our strength," Ne Ying offered. "Our flames will weaken the tree's defenses."
"And we'll shield you from its attacks," Ne Zhan added. "You can strike with full force."
Wei Wuxian's eyes glimmered with gratitude. "Together, we can defeat this evil."
The dragons took to the air once more, their roars vibrating the night. Flames erupted from their mouths, engulfing the tree. Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan charged forward, swords raised. The tree fought back, its branches whipping like vipers.
But Ne Zhan swooped down, his scales absorbing the blows. Wei Wuxian's blade struck true, and the ancient tree trembled. Dark energy dissipated, and the clearing was bathed in moonlight once more.
As the last embers faded, Wei Wuxian turned to Ne Ying and Ne Zhan. "Thank you, my friends. Your loyalty saved us."
The dragons nodded, their eyes fierce. "Always," they said in unison.
. . . . .
While gathering wheat in the fields, Jingyu and Sizhui are taken aback as their parents' dragons descend nearby. They watch their parents dismount, carefully landing on the solid ground. They quickly put down their baskets full of wheat, running towards their parents like little kids.
Jingyu and Sizhui's hearts raced with excitement as they dashed towards their parents. The dragons, majestic creatures with scales shimmering in the sunlight, settled down beside the field, their massive body providing shadow. The ground trembled slightly under their weight.
As Jingyu and Sizhui approached, their parents, smiled warmly. Jingyu was the first to reach them, his face beaming with joy. "Mother! Father! We didn't expect to see you today!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with surprise and happiness.
