My eyes fluttered open I saw a ceiling full of bright lighting so I looked to my right seeing Howard in a bed across from me passed out. I saw a table between us so I picked up one of the plastic cups on it and throwing the plastic cup at Howard. When the cup hit his head his eyes flew open and he touched part of his forehead where the cup hit before looking at me. "At least I know it worked" he scoffed at that sitting up looking around asking where we were "the medical bay." We looked towards where the voice came from seeing Tony "you know you've been sleeping for three days right?" he stated with a smile "three days that's a good sign right?" He said he wasn't sure but Bucky and Steve are pissed. "Where are they?" Tony stopped walking in between our beds looking at his dad "they'll be here in a minute." Tony started poking Howards arm before Howard slapped Tony's hand away "I'm a human being not a thing you poke." Howard looked like what he did in the 40's and the 50's which is around the time he met Maria.

"Well I'll be damned." We looked to where the voice came from and Steve and Bucky just walked in they stopped in their tracks upon the sight of the three of us. Howard pointed at me and I pointed at him and we both said it was him/her at the same time. "It's all of us actually" Tony stated proudly so both Howard and I slapped either arm at the same time. "Man you guys are cranky" that caused another slap to his arms.

"Okay I'm leaving you guys can't keep those hands to yourselves." He walked away before we can even give another slap. We looked at Steve and Bucky who was still standing there. Dad came in yelling about not to hurt us and that he agreed to help out. "A little late for that dad" He looked at me like really as Bucky spoke up "where's the flying cars you promised us?" Howard looked at him through narrow eyes while we laughed at Bucky's comment. Howard shrugged before he swung his legs over the side of the bed getting ready to stand up "Tony said you two were pissed off?" He looked at Steve and Bucky "we are but I'm glad you are in the land of the living breathing actual air" Steve told him. I got out of the bed deciding to apologized to them. We talked to Howard for a few minutes before Bucky and I decided to go for a walk. As we walked outside of the compound we talked about anything. Bucky grabbed my hand which made me kind of flinch but I eased into holding his hand back.

"So you like apple pie?" I smiled as I nodded my head yeah he seemed to be thinking and I didn't want to disturb him. As we walked we heard nothing but the crunching of our feet on the gravel. "I was wondering if you would like to go on a date?" I stopped walking forcing him to stop walking since we were still holding hands. I looked at him with a smile "Bucky Barnes are you asking me out?" He smiled back at me "I guess I am." I looked at my feet for a second before looking back at him. "Yes I'll go out with you." We continued our walk heading towards the compound this time. I didn't realize how far we walked from the compound. We get back easily "tonight at 7:30 sound good to you?" I told him yes as we entered the compound. He told me to dress nice and don't wear high heels. We bid each other goodbye he needed to talk to Steve and I wanted to check on Howard. When I did check up on him he was in a heated debate with Tony about the company. I guess he wasn't happy about the company not making weapons anymore and I understand why Tony stopped the production on weapons. I left the two alone deciding to bug dad who I haven't hanged out with for awhile. I found him bugging Bruce about the Hulk. "Hey dad I'm just wondering if I can talk to you?" He told me he was busy at the moment all Bruce can do was look at me with pleading eyes. "Dad if you really cared about my dating life then we need to talk." Dad stopped talking to look at me like what.

"What happened now?" he asked me I shrugged my shoulders telling him Bucky asked me out. Dad looked back at Bruce with a smile before looking back at me then grabbing my hand and pulling me out of there. He started asking questions about the date and if I needed condoms or whatever which caused me to pull him to a stop "whoa dad it's our first date and well it's not like we're gonna be having sex on the first date like most do."

He sighed in relief "really dad it's really been about sex?" He looked at me like really "no it has not." I crossed my arms going yeah right. He sighed again telling me that sex for us equals full power which I would have to learn how to control and getting full power only happens when we have sex with our mates "well dad you don't have to worry about that because we aren't having sex anytime soon." He asked if I knew where Bucky was taking me "no all I know is to dress nice and to wear sneakers with the outfit." He thought about it then said "okay at least you don't have to wear heels." Of course me being me I rolled my eyes at that then looked at him "really dad? I knew I should've talked with Pepper." I walked away from him as he told me to wait but I didn't listen. I walked towards Tony and Pepper's room hoping to talk to Pepper about tonight's date. I got to their room knocking on the door a minute later Pepper opened the door "hey what's wrong." I sighed telling her I have a date with Bucky tonight and I was wondering if I can get help with picking out an outfit and stuff "I mean I would ask Natasha or Wanda but their on a mission right now." She smiled before we went to Bucky and I's room to get to pick out the outfit and stuff. I was happy that Bucky asked me out but I was also nervous. Where did he wanna take me that required sneakers? As we searched through my clothes time was just passing by. By the time we were done finding the perfect outfit it was only 4:50 pm so we went to do our own things. I walked into Tony's mechanics lab seeing him working on another suit.

"How many suits do you need Tony?" He looked at me with a look that stated I'm pissed off "let me guess Howard pissed you off?" He looked back at his suit "even with Steve standing right there my old man still compares me to him." He scoffed before working on part of the suit he was working on when I walked in. "Then he goes into how I had no damn right to stop production on weapons!" He went ha before reaching for another tool. I sighed sitting down on the free chair "you wanted to stop making weapons because they kept getting into the wrong hands." he nodded his head yeah then said "I was tired of it and the company needed a new direction anyway." I looked around looking back at him when I was done telling him the reason why I brought back his dad and by the time I was done he was just staring at the suit in front of him.

I smiled at him "it was you Tony that was willing to give Howard a second chance and he needs to give you a second chance too." He looked at me with a few tears rolling down his cheeks "he also needs to understand why you stopped making weapons so don't give up." I handed him a tool that he needed which he took "do you really think he'll understand?" I nodded my head yeah before he started showing me what goes where on the suit and what needs to be put in still. After awhile I checked the time and told him I had to go get ready "yeah forgot you have a date with Barnes." I shook my head at him not even wanting to know how he knew that. I got up bidding him a see you later then went to my room to get ready. After I was done getting ready I double checked my outfit along with my hair and the little bit of make-up I put on. I looked at the time I still had 15 minutes before I had to meet Bucky down in the garage. I sighed looking around the room I couldn't help but wonder if the whole mate thing had to do with this date or if it's just nerves getting to me. I looked at the clock on the wall again I've got ten minutes so I started heading down to the garage. I got into the elevator telling Friday to take me down to the garage with the doors closing after I spoke. I took deep breaths trying to calm my nerves. I hoped I looked okay and it wasn't too much. The elevator reached the garage level the doors opened to reveal Bucky in a nice black button down shirt and jeans with sneakers. He looked my direction once the doors opened he smiled at me so I smiled back as I walked out of the elevator. "You look beautiful" he said with a smirk. He then told me we were taking his bike if I didn't mind I told him I didn't. He lead me to his bike handing me a helmet when we got there I took it putting it on. He got on the bike first me getting on behind him wrapping my arms around his waist. The bike roared to life Bucky driving us out of the garage and towards whatever he had planned for us.
