"I don't think it's very smart to call us on this very fragile frequency, especially when we know that the Ices are back on the attack."

The Ox Princess's mouth was in a half-hearted grimace, as if to directly accuse Vegeta of being naive. He knew that he had lost her favor and any possibility of a peaceful alliance with her, he didn't even know if she still had respect for him as warriors.

"At the moment the spaceship exploits the magnetic field of a small solar system, we are behind a planet with various rings. Our position is covered."

Turles' stealth tactical knowledge was exhausting. Kakarot gave a small wow, amazed and excited. So that was how he hid. Not only like this. How many things did the pirate know?

The Ox Princess nodded. "Very good. It's nice to know that someone has common sense. But my question remains: what is so urgent?"

Bulma was wide eyed, elbowing him to make room. "Wow you are a Princess!"

"... yes? I'm not usually that rude but you'll understand: who are you?"

Bulma jumped in place, almost dropping her notes. "Eh... um... I'm Bulma. I am from Earth."

Chi-Chi quickly looked at Kakarot, who nodded and his tone of voice became soft for a moment while remaining solemn and firm. "All right. I understand. Thank you for everything you have done!"

Could the Princess see even through space what was inside Goku?

"It's nothing, on the contrary..." he cleared his throat. "I'm the one who insisted on calling. I know you are far from home like us. But... Goku told me we needed to talk to you."

"I see. Please continue Bulma."

Bulma took a deep breath. "I think I can save Grandpa Gohan."

Royalty imposes many things on you, they shape you from the inside. For a variety of reasons you are prohibited from showing yourself, your personal thoughts and how you feel. You cannot be biased in front of the people, it can appear as weakness. At least this was what Vegeta had understood, what he had always been told - he imagined it was true for every real that existed. After coming into contact with the Kingdom of the Ox, his hypothesis remained valid.

He still found similarities between himself and the Ox Princess. That's why he knew she would never forgive him.

Chi-Chi settled into the chair where she sat in the camp tent, crossing her fingers in front of her.

"You think..." he closed his eyes and reopened them, looking at him and Kakarot. Then he returned to the earthly woman. "People's lives aren't based on -I think-, Bulma, I hope you can understand that. There are many things at stake and the best doctors of my Kingdom and those nearby have given their verdict. We had placed all our hopes in the spheres... if you have something to offer I ask you to be sure. Because we don't need any more illusions."

The back of Bulma's neck filled with goosebumps, from behind her Vegeta could see the reactions that the woman couldn't stop. She didn't expect this, she naively imagined that Goku and the Princess had jumped for joy. From her rants he understood that she felt responsible, that she could fix the situation. And the woman had always not understood when he had tried to say that she made no sense, that her speeches were selfish and vain, useless. She hadn't listened to him and now even Ox Princess was freezing her with her eyes of black fire.

Bulma shook her head. "N-no of course not. I—I need access to medical records. I can't contact Earth but by combining more resources I know I can do it!" she clenched a fist. "I know that by uniting minds, by uniting medicine and science, we can save lives. It's possible on Earth, why not apply it to other planets too?"
