The Overlord's Temptation (Millie x Reader)

Chapter 35: Godlike

You walk in to your house to see Millie looking at you with a neutral expression, however her arms were crossed.

"Where have you been?" Millie asked, there was a dangerous calm to her voice. You were in trouble, you quickly glance at the time on your phone. Your eyes widen as you realise you had been gone for over a day.

"I was trying to learn how I could get that power out of me" You say with a smile, trying to charm you way out of the trouble you were undoubtedly in. 

"Without telling me that you were going to be gone for over a day and not answer my calls?" Millie said, she was hiding a deep anger towards you currently. You sigh and walk up to her and bend down to her height.

"I'm sorry Mills, I honestly didn't realise I was gone this long and it was never my intention to ignore your calls. I understand that you were worried which has lead to you being mad at me currently, but I promise I'm okay. Are you okay?" You say as you look into her eyes. Her eyes which were cold and unforgiving had now softened.

"Yes I am okay now, thank you for understanding what I was feeling and for apologising" she says. You nod at her with a smile and give her a small hug. "So what did you find out" She says as she returned the hug. You quickly separated from her with an excited look in your eyes, it look as if you were a 5 year old who had just recieved their favourite chocolate from their mother. It made Millie smile, the genuine and unbridled excitement like that of a child's was adorable.

"Oh boy, do I have news for you!" You say as you sweep her off her feet and take her to the couch. She jumps off and sits on the couch and patiently waits for you to tell her about your adventure.

"Ok so I basically ventured around hell to try and find out answers, I went to libraries and other places. These places didn't give me any answers which I honestly expected. Then I went to Alastor and Charlie. I thought they would be able to give me some insight on how to achieve this new form but they couldn't. That was when I was about to give up and come home but Charlie suggested talking to her father Lucifer and I went to talk to him. He told that when I first tapped into that form it was most likely do to a  mental reason, he says now that I've gotten stronger it is becuase of that power that I have gained and it should only be a matter of time until I can access it again." You say, you take a deep breath as you had just rapid fired the entirety of what your adventure to Millie, who smiled.

"That's wonderful babe! Can't wait to see the power that you hold" She says as she lightly punches your arm. You smile and think. There could be a way to speed up this process, maybe if you were to fight all of I.M.P together as they worked as a team to try and kill you. 

"I have an idea babe" You say as you look at Millie.

Blitz, Moxxie, Loona and Millie stood infront of you. They all had weapons of there choice that they were going to try and kill you with. Millie had chosen her axe, Blitz had his usual flintlock pistol, Loona was just going to fight hand to hand and Moxxie was gonna use whatever he had brought.

"So you want us to try to kill you?" Moxxie asked, a slightly worried expression on his face as he looked at you and everyone else.

"Yep" You say.

"Are you sure that's a good idea, I mean... it's 4 against one" Moxxie states.

"I'm sure" You say, you start to get impatient.

"Well I-" Moxxie starts but you cut him off.

"Begin!" You shout.

Everyone rushes you, Millie and Loona reaching you first. You dodge Millie's strikes with her axe while parrying Loona's attacks with her fists. She bites down on your arm and throws you. Blitz had already alligned a shot, he fired. You bring up the earth using your powers effectively stopping the bullet. Behind you Loona and Millie were already circling around. Moxxie was in the air, he fired his assault rifle at you. You manifest a sword as you deflect the bullets. You throw the sword at Moxxie as Millie comes in for a swing with her axe. The blade of the sword lands in Moxxie's gun, rendering it useless. You duck under Millie's attack and shove her away. Blitz comes in behind you, opting to go for hand to hand. You parry his attacks while throwing some of your own attacks which Blitz dodges or blocks. Blitz catches you in a joint lock, pinning you to the ground.
