You close the door of your aunt's car after she takes you to the place where the bus that was supposed to take the whole class to savannah was located.
You leaned down to the driver's window and your aunt rolled it down. "Bye sweetie, behave yourself." She says, and you chuckled at that.
Auntie I'm not a little kid anymore. I'm very responsible for taking care of myself." You say and your auntie laughs slightly.
"Right."
"...You grew up so much y/n." Your aunt says as she puts her hand on your cheek, and you smiled at her. "I wish you parents would've lived longer to see how much you've grown."
You stare at her. Your eyes soften at the mere mention of her parents. But before you could say more you heard Mr. Thomas made an announcement.
"alright everyone start filing onto the bus. we're getting ready to leave savannah in T minus 5!"
"Oh, looks like I should get going. Thanks for dropping me off. have a safe drive to work!" You say as you gave her a quick embrace before walking off.
Waving goodbye to her before you filed into the bus with the others.
You got onto the bus and you sat down alone on one of the bus seats that was behind two of your group mates; Logan and Ben.
Once you took your seat. You placed your bag beside you and took the mask that was on your wrist and wore it on your face. Then open your phone to scroll for a bit.
"Okay everyone, i'm sure you already know, but I'm going to go over today's schedule one last time." Mr. Thomas spoke making you raise your eyes away from your phone and towards Mr. Thomas.
"It takes eight hours to get to savannah, in about four hours, around noon, we'll stop to get something to eat." He explained as he looked at his watch then raised his head up away from his watch and turned to us.
"Once we get to savannah, you and your groups will have two hours to eat, go on tours, look at historic monuments, explore the area, etc. after, we'll all meet back up at the bus and head to the motels" he explained more, before turning his head to Mr. Lee and Mrs.. Sarah who was sitting on the second seat that was close to the door.
"Everyone who had a phone has added, Mr. Lee's, Mrs. Sarah's, and my number correct?" Mr. thomas asks and your eyes quickly glance at your phone and back to Mr. thomas then everyone including you said 'yes' in unison.
"Alright, let's get the show on the road!" Mr. Thomas says with a cheerful tone.
After Mr. Thomas has explained everything. You take your earbuds out of your pocket and plug it in your ears. 'Flawless' by the neighborhood playing in your ears.
While the music played. You turn your head to the window and looked outside with your cheek resting on your palm.
'this is going to be a long... Ride..'
