"Hello, Are you Mr. Kumo?" A frail woman asked after sitting in an office chair. "Dr. Kumo," The tall, scowling man corrected her. "And who might you be miss? If you are looking for a position we're full and I am not for hire either." The woman shuffled around in her seat with the toddler she held on her lap, an annoyed look plastered on her face "I want to sell you, or rather the government, my baby." Dr. Kumo's eyes widened as he began to laugh boisterously. "Why, pray tell, might we need your daughter?" He asked, almost astounded that this woman has come all the way to Black Forest to waste his time.

"Because you'll need her. She holds a mysterious and possibly uncontrollable power deep within. A power that hasn't been seen since ancient times! Since before the great fall!" Now that piqued his interest. "Do you know what you're insinuating woman? Power like that isn't something you acquire through normal means!" The woman shrunk back. Tears began to form in the childs' eyes at the yelling. It was only then that Dr. Kumo noticed the abnormal hair color that the child possessed. Not only that, but her tears.. Her tears weren't translucent, they looked as if someone had taken a galaxy and trapped it in a shiny globe. A trait only heard of in legends, one that only the so-called gods possessed. 'With power like that in my corner, those stiffs up at D.A.P. will have to take my sector seriously' Dr. Kumo thought to himself "I'll take her." At this the woman's attention was no longer on calming the sniffling child she came here to sell. "Y-you will? You mean it?" He smiled. "Of course! A child like this deserves to have a spot in D.A.P.'s meta-training program." 'Even though no such program exists.' He reminded himself. The woman smiled brighter than anyone should be able to before realizing she hadn't got what she'd originally wanted.

"Wait, you have to pay me, I didn't come here to just give you this runt for free!" Dr. Kumo groaned internally. He had hoped she'd forgotten. "Fine, fine. You get 5 million genzi, and do not try to cry about how that won't be enough. For a scrub like you it'll hold you until your elder years." Thinking it over the woman nodded in agreement, ignoring his snide remark. As she stood to leave she remembered her manners. "Thank you Doctor! That's more than enough." Dr. Kumo waved her away to his secretary who would give her the necessary papers whilst another scientist arrived to take the child to its new "home". Once his office was clear Dr. Kumo let out an exasperated sigh. "Power as strong as that from before the fall..." He muttered out loud to himself. He could hardly believe the information he'd been given. "There's no telling if that unsightly woman is correct, but I will make sure this child is worth all of that genzi in the end." He stood and looked at his mahogany bookshelves before leaving his office in a huff.

"Doctor, I have the report all typed up for you." A new hire appeared at his side. "Hmph, thank you, go back to your desk. Once my secretary finishes with all the paperwork she'll have it sent to you for file sorting." He walked away as the newbie nodded, rushing away to their small desk. Kumo continued to walk until he made it to a pink ivory wood door. He sucked in a deep breath before barging in. "This finding needs to be reported to the supreme council immediately." Kumo haphazardly slammed a recently typed paper on the head of the department of military defenses desk. The womans' face soured almost immediately. "Jaakuna, please explain to me why you have barged into my office, screaming at me to send something to the supreme council?" She spoke in a calm voice, clearly pissed with this behavior. Dr. Kumo smoothed his slightly ruffled hair back and took a deep breath. "My apologies Alicia. I didn't mean to come in such a boisterous manner." Alicia drew in a breath as well, her scowl tilting to a meager smirk. "Finally opening up to being on a first name basis with me?" She chuckled as she picked up the paper Kumo so desperately needed to send to the president. Kumo rolled his eyes and waited with anticipation for her reaction. Within a minute of reading Alicia's eyes widened, her mouth slightly ajar. "Jaakuna, do you understand what this information means?" He nodded, trying desperately to hide his true emotions, not prepared to speak, not willing to get his hopes up in the event that his proposition was turned down.
