I woke up with "Brooklyn 99" still playing on my TV. I still hadn't checked my phone since the live yesterday. In all honesty, I was scared to. Scared about what people were saying, what Delilah was saying, scared that Arthur was angry that I called us just friends.
But I didn't know what to call us. I mean, I like him and I think he likes me, but can I go through another relationship? I don't think he'd ever hurt me, but I never thought Thomas would either. I got up and decided to destress with a hot shower. The water running down the drain carried my crowded thoughts with it. The sound of me singing Billie's new album echoing softly on my bathroom tiles.
I made myself a hot cup of coffee and put on one of my brother's baggy sweaters along with a pair of black leggings. I sat on the edge of my sofa, getting ready to check my phone while listening to the soft notes of Frank Sinatra on my surround sound system.
i grab my phone and open twitter the top trending being 'elouise and delilah' and 'cara fowler' filled me with dread. i first search up the first tag and seeing nothing but support the rare 'delilahs better'comment popping up but i didn't give it a second thought.
I felt better as I looked up the second tag, my heart thumping with nerves. I saw people complimenting my name left and right, with some even suggesting that I should change my usernames on social media to 'Cara Fowler' instead of Elouise. It made me feel safe and happy. Blowing out the breath I didn't know I was holding, I scrolled further, reading comments from people expressing their empathy and respect for my decision not to share my whole life story and my name. Then, I switched to Instagram, but not before posting a tweet.

i scrolled through my Instagram notifications and message requests and saw nothing but love from people that followed me, i felt content and happy. now it was the part i was really dreading.imessages. i had notifications from most of my friends,

i walked into my small walk in closet, ready to pick an outfit.deciding on a white crop top,leather pants and a pair of docs. i styles my hair with some oil just wanting to look natural.kepping ut simple with my makeup,only wearing mascara and lip liner and vaseline.
i wanted to look cute but not like i tried to hard.i quickly took a snap in my mirror before spraying my billie perfume and posting a story while simultaneously grabbing my keys and heading towards the car park.i decided not to drive and to just get an uber.
i grabbed my jacket out my boot and as i locked my car my ride pulled up and i hopped in,my leg shaking with nerves while waiting to see arthur.
