i start getting ready for the party deciding on a white shirt,mom jeans and black sleeves.i get all the alcohol i have and place it on my island with some red solo cups, plugging my phone into my speakers playing my party playlist i grab one of my frozen passion fruit martinis and grab a straw and sit on the sofa waiting for people to arrive
a/n:if you don't know what i'm talking about it's like make shift slushies but passion fruit martinis their really good!
i hear a knock on my door,followed with commotion knowing that it was more than a few people outside my apartment. i open the door, people flooding in. i notice a few familiar faces;grace,george,max,chris and the arthur's . i keep my drink close making sure i don't mix it up with someone else's.
i walk towards mr television, noticing him deciding on a drink. i grab him one of my passion fruit martini slushies knowing he likes passion fruit."here i saved you one" i say while handing it to him. he looks up at me then down at the drunk in my hands.
"oh thanks" we just stand together in silence frank ocean interludes surrounding us. "so you think i'm pretty?" i say with a slight smirk on my face.
"yes- i mean no, i mean your pretty, beautiful in fact it's just i nev-"he starts on a nervous ramble i interrupt him. "arthur, it's fine i think your pretty handsome too" i say with a pat on his shoulder.
"you do?" he says almost as if he didn't believe what i was saying. "of course have you not seen yourself?" i say back,it's pretty obvious that he's a sight for sore eyes.grace comes stumbling over, i presume she's had pre drinks as around 7 minutes in my place couldn't have dont that to her.
as she gets closer i notice george and max are in towe they give me hugs one by one, congratulating me on my first tv appearance "thanks guys i love you so muc-" im interrupted by my phone ringing.
incoming call 'olivia☀️'....
i look up towards grace and george's questioning faces. "shit it's my manager, give me a sec guys" i say walking out on my terrace quite scared.
i pick up the call...
"cara elouise, i've been calling you for the last 30 minutes what are you doing???"
"i'm having a party celebrating jonathon ross why?"
"in the kitchen just hit 1m streams your getting an award for being the first songs to get that in two days cara this is why i've been trying to call you!"
"you better not be fucking with me liv this isn't what i pay you for!"
"im not fucking with you cara i've got to go jon needs me but go celebrate that! i'm proud of you car!"
i end the call, a few tears slipping out of my eyes with shear happiness.
i walk back inside still in a state of pure shock. grace george and max run over with arthur not far behind after seeing my tears. grace makes sure the music is cut so we can check im ok. i shrug the questioning looks im getting off of everyone and walk to my kitchen.
i grab a bottle of champagne and walk to the front, where my kareoke machine is."so in the kitchen has just won an award for being the first song ever to reach one million streams in two days" i say between deep breaths.
everyone cheers,people hug me,multiple bottles of champagne are popped. i'm in a state of pure euphoria and bliss, not noticing grace come over with a cake."we're so proud of you smells" she cheers, i blow out the candles on top giving each and everyone a hug and shout "let's get drunk!"
everyone agrees with my statement and while no one notices i walk towards my room.i walk towards my wall of photos and pluck a photo of me and my gran. "hey nanny, i made it. i love you and miss you thankyou for believing in me, i wish i could share this moment with you" i say more tears creeping down my face as i look up and try and blink them away.
"lou, are you okay?" breaks me apart from my moment from across the room. i turn around and see mr television."yeah sorry just can't beleive it" he comes over and gives me a hug.
"im sorry she can't be here to celebrate, but i'm sure she's as proud of you as i am!" he says happiness evident in his voice.
i look up "thanks arthur" i say meaning every word.
"arthur?" i say after a few moments of silence,making sure our eyes meet."yeah?" he says back."do you actually think i'm pretty?" i say "of course i do lou your beautiful"
"you know what's crazy television?" "what's crazy lou?" he says in reply "i always had a small crush on you but thought you didn't know who i was considering we had never met."
he looks at me in shock,his eyes lighting up as he realises what i've just said "lou?" he says "yes" i reply while admiring all the faint freckles on his face. "can i kiss you"
