"Calm down Peter-" Started Tony, not quite knowing what to do.

"THERE IS A FUCKING SPIKEY THING IN MY ARM."

Bruce glanced at Tony, while holding the weapon in his hands."We removed the throwing star two minutes ago. You're perfectly fine, just take some deep breaths." Tony tried for what felt like the 100th time to calm him down.

"WHERE DID IT GO?" Peter sat up, and started to rip the blood transplant out of his arm. "WHY WONT THIS COME OUT?"

"Cause it's not supposed to come out, Pete." Tony glanced at Bruce another time, signaling him to leave. Bruce looked at Peter once again before walking out.

"WHERE- WHat- Who-" Peter took his hand off the IV to place it on his chest, his hand accentuating his heavy breathing. Gods, Tony thought to himself, this kid really needs to admit he has anxiety so I can help him.

"Alright Pete," Tony sat down on the bed, "In, and out. In for three. Hold for three. Out for three. Ready?"

---

"What was that scream? Is Peter okay?" Percy said, out of breath from running down the flights of stairs. Bruce had stopped him outside.

"He's with Tony right now, he'll be fine. We haven't caught up in a while, how are you?" Bruce shoved his hands into the pockets of his white lab coat.

"Me? Oh, oh I'm just great. Never better. You said he'll be fine. Why isn't he currently fine? What's happening?"

"You have yet to talk to Peter since you got here. Why are you so worried?" Bruce asked, not answering either of Percy's questions.

"I'm worried BECAUSE I have yet to talk to him idiot. Now, answer my question. What's happening?"

Bruce opened his mouth only to close it. The simple answer? Peter was attacked. That is what had happened, but if Percy were to know this then he wouldn't rest until the culprit was found. But there was no use in lying to a child who had been lied to all of his life, especially when he would found out the answer anyways. And Bruce wasn't one to lie, especially to his friends. And, patients. "Okay, I'll tell you, but sit down, and stay calm." Bruce led them both to the dining room table, faced chairs opposite of each other, and sat.

"What?"

Bruce exhaled and rubbed his hands together. "Peter was, he was attacked." Just as he had suspected, Percy's eyes widened and his jaw dropped. "Now, we don't know by who. There was a throwing star thrown in through the window, it hit Peter in the arm. He's fine now, for all I know. He was in a state of panic, but Tony was calming him down as I left. We can't figure out who it could be, though it must have been someone with impeccable aim-"

Percy stood up, and in one swift motion pushed his chair back into the table, splintering the handle a bit. He knew who did it. "Someone like Clint Barton. Someone like Hawkeye, perhaps?"
