EPISODE 6: Speedymonster

The halls of François Dupont High School buzzed with excitement as the students prepared for the toy car racing competition.

Teacher: Okay everyone, today is the toy car competition. I am counting on you all to participate.

The event had drawn a large crowd, eager to see the inventive designs and the thrilling races. Marinette, Adrien, and the Smiling Critters were among the participants, their spirits high and their competitive spirits higher.

Marinette: Oh my goodness, I am so hyped.

Adrien: Yeah, me too.

Today was the big race, pitting Hoppy Hopscotch against Lila Rossi. The two stood at the starting line, their toy cars gleaming under the bright lights. Hoppy's car, crafted with meticulous care and creativity, was a testament to her determination. Lila's car, sleek and stylish, exuded confidence.

Lila Rossi: I am gonna beat you at this race, Hoppy.

Hoppy Hopscotch: I am gonna leave you in the dust, Lila.

As the signal was given, the toy cars zoomed down the track, neck and neck. The crowd cheered, the excitement palpable. But as they reached the finish line, Lila's car edged out Hoppy's, claiming victory by a fraction of a second.

Host: And the winner is.... Lila.

Lila: YES! WAHOO!

Hoppy's heart sank as the realization hit her. She had lost. Fighting back tears, she turned and ran from the track, her disappointment overwhelming her.

Marinette: Hoppy, wait! Something isn't right, I have the feeling Lila was cheating.

Shadow Moth, ever watchful, seized the opportunity to exploit Hoppy's despair.

Shadow Moth: Perfect.

Shadow Moth creates an akuma.

Shadow Moth: Fly away my little akuma, and evilize this scarred heart.

As the dark energy enveloped Hoppy, a mask appeared on her face.

Shadow Moth: Speedymonster, I am Shadow Moth. So you lost? Well, I am giving you the power to--

Hoppy Hopscotch: No need to talk, Shadow Moth. I want the power to go super fast.

Shadow Moth: Very well. You will go to your most hated person first, then you move on to Ladybug and Cat Noir, then you seize their Miraculous.

Hoppy Hopscotch: Yes, Shadow Moth.

She transforms into Speedymonster, a villain with the power of super-speed. With her new abilities, Speedymonster wreaked havoc, zipping through the school and causing chaos wherever she went.

Speedymonster: So Lila, think you're faster than me, huh?

Lila: Hoppy...?

Speedymonster: Hoppy is no more! I am Speedymonster now! And I will punish you!

Speedymonster speeds around Lila until she is dizzy.

Marinette and Adrien quickly noticed the disturbance.

Marinette and Adrien: Time to transform!

"Tikki, spots on!"

"Plagg, claws out!"

In an instant, Ladybug and Cat Noir sprang into action, racing to confront Speedymonster. But as they attempted to catch her, they found themselves outmatched by her incredible speed.

Ladybug: She's too fast!

Cat Noir: What are we gonna do, m'lady?

Ladybug: We need a new strategy.

Cat Noir: Yeah, like what?

Ladybug: We need a new ally. Keep her busy, Cat Noir.

Cat Noir: Got it m'lady.

Ladybug speeds off.

Spotting CraftyCorn among the Smiling Critters, Ladybug made a quick decision. 

Ladybug: CraftyCorn, I need your help.

CraftyCorn: Um, okay.

Ladybug brings out the Goat Miraculous.

Ladybug: CraftyCorn, this is the Goat Miraculous, which grants the power of passion. You will use it for the greater good.

CraftyCorn accepts the Goat Miraculous. Ziggy flies out.

Ziggy: Hi, I'm your kwami, Ziggy.

Ladybug: Once the job is done, you must return the Miraculous to me. Can I trust you?

CraftyCorn: Speedymonster attacked my friends. So, if you want me to help you, I will.

Ziggy: Then all you have to say is "Ziggy, bleat it!"

CraftyCorn: Ziggy, bleat it!

In a flash of light, CraftyCorn transformed into CraftyGoat, her new form brimming with creative energy.

CraftyGoat: Genesis!

With a flick of her paintbrush, she summoned a variety of objects to life, each one designed to slow down and contain Speedymonster.

Speedymonster: Urgh, what is this?

CraftyGoat: That is my power, speedy.

Together, Ladybug, Cat Noir, and CraftyGoat coordinated their efforts, using their combined powers to outmaneuver Speedymonster.

Ladybug: You may not be as fast now.

Speedymonster: I can go as fast as I want, you little ghastly bug.

With CraftyGoat's creative constructs and Ladybug's quick thinking, they managed to corner Speedymonster, bringing her rampage to a halt.

Ladybug takes the akumatized object, and breaks it.

Ladybug then purifies the akuma.

Hoppy Hopscotch: Wait, what happened to me?

Ladybug: You were akumatized, but everything is fine now.

Hoppy Hopscotch: Thank you, Ladybug.

At the top of a building, CraftyCorn gives the Goat Miraculous back to Ladybug.

Ladybug: Thank you, Crafty.

As the students recovered, the host of the competition checked the security cameras, his expression turning stern.

Host: Lila, you have been cheating during the competition. Cheating is very unacceptable, and you must be held accountable for your actions.

Lila's face flushed with guilt, and she stepped forward, her voice trembling.

Lila: I'm sorry, Hoppy. I shouldn't have cheated. I was wrong.

Hoppy Hopscotch: I accept your apology, Lila. Let's compete fairly next time.

Marinette comes to see Lila.

Marinette: Lila, I know what you did was wrong, but in the end, you are able to come back to your senses, for now.

Lila: As you said before, things aren't always what they seem to be at first sight.

Lila leaves, making Marinette confused and a little bit angry.

With the truth revealed and justice served, the competition continued in the spirit of fair play and camaraderie. Marinette, Adrien, and the Smiling Critters gathered together, their bond stronger than ever.

Marinette: The toy car competition was wonderful, Adrien.

Adrien: Yeah, except for Speedymonster, she was a real monster when it comes to her speed.

For in the heart of Paris, where darkness and light battled for supremacy, the power of friendship and courage would always prevail. And as long as Ladybug, Cat Noir, and their allies stood united, they knew they could overcome any challenge that lay ahead
