EPISODE 2: Evil-Light

In the bustling halls of François Dupont High School, Marinette's classmates buzzed with anticipation. Today marked the day of their much-awaited test on ratios, and while some students fretted over equations and formulas, others embraced the challenge with eager determination.

Among them sat Bubba Bubbaphant, a gentle elephant with a heart as big as his brain. Bubba approached the test with a determined smile, determined to prove that there was more to him than met the eye.

But as the test progressed, a shadow fell over the classroom—a whisper of accusation that rippled through the air like a dark cloud. Chloe Bourgeois, with a sneer upon her lips and disdain in her eyes, pointed a finger at Bubba with malicious intent.

"He's cheating!" she cried, her voice cutting through the tension like a knife. "I saw him copying from his neighbor's paper! He doesn't deserve to be here!"

Gasps of shock and murmurs of disbelief filled the room as all eyes turned to Bubba, who sat frozen in his seat, his expression a mask of hurt and confusion.

Unbeknownst to them all, high above the school grounds, Shadow Moth watched with sinister glee, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. Sensing an opportunity to sow chaos and despair, he unleashed his dark power upon the unsuspecting Bubba, transforming him into the akumatized villain known as Evil-Light.

"Evil-Light, I am Shadow Moth. So you are accused of cheating? Well, I am giving you the power to make people ridicule themselves with no doubt, including Chloe Bourgeois. All I ask for in return are Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous. Do we have a deal?" Said Shadow Moth.

"Yes". Said Bubba, as he transforms to Evil-Light.

With a burst of malevolent energy, Evil-Light descended upon the classroom, his eyes ablaze with an eerie light that sent shivers down the spines of all who beheld him. With a wave of his hand, he unleashed his power, casting an enchantment upon the students that caused them to ridicule themselves without mercy.

As laughter echoed through the room and tears of humiliation stained the faces of his classmates, Evil-Light laughs.

"HAHAHA! You will all regret what you have done to me!" Said Evil-Light, maniacally.

But amidst the chaos and despair, a ray of hope flickered—a glimmer of courage and determination that burned brightly in the hearts of Ladybug and Cat Noir. With a nod of silent agreement, they sprang into action, their miraculous transformation sweeping them into the fray.

"Do you have a permit for entering the school?" Said Cat Noir, jokingly.

"I do not need a permit, kitty-cat." Said Evil-Light, as he blasts an orb towards him, but Cat Noir dodges it.

But as they faced off against Evil-Light, they soon realized that their usual tactics were futile against his insidious power. No matter how they fought, Evil-Light seemed to anticipate their every move, leaving them one step behind at every turn.

Suddenly, Ladybug remembers something.

"I need an ally! Cat Noir, keep him busy!" Said Ladybug.

Desperate for a solution, Ladybug turned to her trusted ally, CatNap, with a plea for assistance. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, CatNap nodded solemnly, his eyes gleaming with determination.

"CatNap, this is the Miraculous of the Fox, which grants the power of illusion. You will use it for the greater good."

With a flick of his tail, CatNap grabbed the Fox Miraculous, a radiant beacon of hope in the darkness. An orange orb illuminates, and Trixx appears.

"Hello! My name is Trixx, and I'll be your kwami!" Said Trixx.

"Once the mission is over, you will return the Miraculous to me. Can I trust you?" Said Ladybug.

"Yes Ladybug." Said CatNap.

"Trixx, let's pounce!" CatNap transforms to PurpleFox.

With the power of illusion at their fingertips, PurpleFox and Ladybug faced Evil-Light once more, his resolve unshakeable as he unleashed a dazzling display of light and shadow.

"Mirage! Said PurpleFox, as he creates an illusion.

With each illusion he created, he wove a tapestry of deception that confounded and bewildered Evil-Light, leaving him disoriented and vulnerable.

"Stop it, and give me your Miraculous!" Said Evil-Light.

And as the final illusion faded into nothingness, Ladybug seized her moment, striking true with her yo-yo and purifying Evil-Light's akuma with a burst of brilliant light, and Evil-Light turns back to Bubba.

"Wait, what happened?" Said Bubba.

"You were akumatized, but everything's okay now!" Said Ladybug, solemnly.

As the classroom returned to normalcy and the students shook off the lingering effects of Evil-Light's power, Bubba stepped forward with a newfound sense of courage, his voice strong and unwavering.

"I didn't cheat," he said, his words ringing with honesty and integrity. "I studied hard for this test, and I earned my grade fair and square."

With a sense of justice restored, the teacher nodded in understanding, her gaze softening with compassion as she listened to Bubba's words. And as she reviewed his test with a discerning eye, her lips curved into a proud smile.

"A+," she declared, her voice echoing with pride. "Well done, Bubba. You've proven yourself to be a true scholar."

And as the cheers of his classmates filled the air, Bubba stood tall and proud, his heart brimming with gratitude and joy. For in that moment, he knew that he was more than just a member of the Smiling Critters—he was a hero in his own right.

Meanwhile, Chloe Bourgeois watched from the sidelines, her expression dark with frustration as her plan crumbled before her eyes. With a petulant huff, she slunk away, vowing to scheme another day.
