EPISODE 9: Nighthound (The Dance Party - Part 1)

Paris was buzzing with excitement for the annual dance party. The streets were alive with music and laughter as students from François Dupont High School prepared for the event. Marinette, Adrien, and the Smiling Critters were especially thrilled, their spirits high as they looked forward to an evening of fun and dancing.

Marinette: Wow, the dance party is looking promising.

Adrien: I know, right? This is going to be so cool!

CatNap: And I am going to have my own segment.

Marinette: Wow, really??

CatNap: Yes. It's called "CatNap's Dance Moves"

Marinette: Wow, that name is good, CatNap.

Adrien: Yeah, it's pretty good.

CatNap: Thank you, guys.

Among the invited guests was Gabriel Agreste, Adrien's father. Unknown to everyone, Gabriel had sinister plans to ruin the beloved party.

Gabriel: This party is going to be the icing on the cake for my plan. Nooroo, Duusu, unify!

Gabriel transformed into Shadow Moth, setting his plan into motion. To maintain his civilian guise, he created a sentimonster replica of himself, named "Gabriel," to attend the party.

Shadow Moth: Gabriel, I am Shadow Moth. You will act like my civillian self for the duration for this party.

Gabriel: Yes, Shadow Moth.

As the guests began to arrive, the host announced the start of the party, and the ballroom filled with excitement and anticipation.

Host: Thank you all for coming. This party is going to be a place for making new friends. Oh, and if you do not want to dance, there is a gaming room if anyone wants to go there. Have fun!

The atmosphere was electric, with students dancing and enjoying themselves. However, amidst the festivities, DogDay observed Gabriel closely, sensing something amiss.

DogDay: Something isn't right about Gabriel. I think he is hiding something from me.

DogDay then gasps, reminiscing something:

(FLASHBACK)

DogDay was walking, until Gabriel accidentally bumps into him.

Gabriel: Ouch! I'm sorry!

DogDay then sees brooches underneath Gabriel's scarf. DogDay then gets suspicious.

(END OF FLASHBACK)

DogDay: What if... Gabriel is Shadow Moth?

Taking a deep breath, DogDay approached Gabriel.

DogDay: Gabriel, We need to talk.

Gabriel: What is it?

DogDay: I noticed something. You've been acting off lately.

Gabriel: What are you talking about? I haven't been acting off.

DogDay's expression was serious.

DogDay: Don't play dumb with me, Gabriel, or should I say... Shadow Moth!

Gabriel's face twisted with anger and denial.

Gabriel: Why would you think such a thing?

DogDay: First of all, let me get some things straight: The running away, going to the bathroom, being ill, those are all just excuses, weren't they?

Gabriel then laughs.

Gabriel: Ha ha ha ha! You are being hysterical. None of these things EVER happened.

DogDay: Stop gaslighting me!

Gabriel: Stop contradicting me!

Feeling cornered and enraged, Shadow Moth saw an opportunity. He sends an akuma after DogDay.

Shadow Moth: Nighthound, I am Shadow Moth. You have been cornered by someone stronger than you. Well, I am giving you the power to escape Gabriel Agreste. All I ask for you in return is Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous.

DogDay: No, this is not true, I am not mistaken! You are wearing Miraculous! There, underneath your scarf, the brooches!

Gabriel then reveals underneath the scarf, but no brooches were inside.

Gabriel: Brooches? What are you talking about?

DogDay is then shocked.

Shadow Moth: You really thought that Gabriel Agreste could be Shadow Moth? Mwhahahaha! He doesn't have the power to be me, and neither do you! Accept the power I am offering you!

DogDay then tries to resist, then succumbs.

DogDay: Yes, Shadow Moth...

DogDay then transforms into Nighthound, a villain who could brainwash people into revealing their deepest secrets.

Gabriel then runs away.

Nighthound began his mission. He then targeted Juleka with his weapon.

Nighthound: Juleka, tell me your deepest secret.

Juleka: I have a diary, and it's full of me talking about Rose...

Rose then reacts in shock.

Rose: WHAT???

As Nighthound began to spread chaos, Marinette and Adrien sensed the disturbance.

Marinette: Something is not right here.

Adrien: Let's get to work.

"Tikki, spots on!"

"Plagg, claws out!"

Ladybug and Cat Noir leaped into action, determined to stop Nighthound. But Nighthound's powers proved formidable, and he quickly overpowered them.

Nighthound: Ha! You are no match for me!

Ladybug: Oh yeah? 2 superheroes are better than one, DogDay.

Nighthound: DogDay is no more, I am Nighthound. And I will make sure your secrets are revealed.

Nighthound then attempts to target Ladybug and Cat Noir, but they dodge.

Ladybug: I know someone who can help. I will be right back. Keep him busy, Cat Noir.

Cat Noir: Got it, M'lady.

Ladybug then approaches Bubba Bubbaphant.

Ladybug: Bubba, I need your help.

Ladybug then shows the Horse Miraculous.

Ladybug: Bubba Bubbaphant, this is the Miraculous of the Horse, which grants the power of teleportation. You will use it for the greater good.

Bubba accepted the Horse Miraculous, Kaalki flies out.

Kaalki: Oh hello there, I am Kaalki, your noble kwami.

Ladybug: Once the mission is complete, you will return the Miraculous to me. Can I trust you, Bubba?

Bubba Bubbaphant: Yes Ladybug.

Kaalki: Then, all you need to say is "Kaalki, full gallop!"

Bubba Bubbaphant: Kaalki, full gallop!

In a flash of light, Bubba transformed into Bubba-Horse.

Ladybug: I need to call in more allies. Keep Nighthound busy, um...

Bubba-Horse: Bubba-Horse, call me Bubba-Horse.

Ladybug: Okay Bubba-Horse, keep him busy.

Ladybug then called upon CatNap (PurpleFox), CraftyCorn (CraftyGoat), and PickyPiggy (Pig-Bee) to join the fight.

Together, the team launched a coordinated assault on Nighthound.

Nighthound: Ah, who would have known you kids would be so powerful.

Ladybug: That's because the power of love will always stay strong.

Nighthound: I don't care about love, I only care about causing chaos.

The battle was fierce, but Nighthound's powers proved to be a significant challenge. He managed to affect Ladybug with his brainwashing ability, compelling her to reveal her secret identity.

Nighthound: Ladybug, tell me your secret identity.

Ladybug struggled against the compulsion, but the power was too strong. She was on the verge of revealing her true self.

Ladybug: I... am...

CraftyGoat: A super artist!

CraftyGoat intervened, using her power to create a distraction and break Nighthound's hold on Ladybug.

Ladybug: Thank you. Bubba-Horse, use your power!

Bubba-Horse: Voyage!

Taking advantage of the moment, Bubba-Horse used his teleportation ability to disorient Nighthound.

Nighthound: Urgh! How did you...

Ladybug: Oh, just some luck.

Ladybug then breaks the akumatized object, the akuma flies out, allowing Ladybug to capture and purify the akuma. Nighthound reverted to DogDay, and the team rejoiced in their victory.

Seeing the first layer of his plan fail, Shadow Moth winces in anger.

Shadow Moth: My first phase may have failed, but they are not gonna be prepared for the next phase. I release you from your existence.

Shadow Moth snaps his fingers, causing Senti-Gabriel to disappear.

Gabriel: DogDay, I am really sorry for what I've done. I am hoping you would forgive me.

DogDay: No. Because I know who you really are.

DogDay then leaves.

As the celebration continued, Marinette and Adrien received a mysterious message on their phones, directing them to an address.

Marinette: Adrien, come here for a moment.

Adrien: What is it, Marinette?

Marinette: We just got a message. It seems to be of an address.

Adrien: Oh? Well then, we better go visit it.

Following the instructions, they arrived at a secluded house and were greeted by Master Delight, the guardian of the Smiling Miracle Box.

Master Delight: Hello Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Marinette: Wha-- Who are you?

Master Delight: I am Master Delight, the guardian of the Smiling Miracle Box.

Adrien: Wow, that is really cool.

Master Delight: The Smiling Miracle Box grants powers far beyond the regular Miraculous. One of them will allow you to go up to space.

Marinette: Oh, but I already have a space power-up on me.

Master Delight: Don't worry, that Miraculous has the same properties as your power-up.

Marinette: Oh, okay.

Meanwhile, in the privacy of a bathroom, Gabriel revealed that the next phase of his plan was already in motion. His eyes glinted with a malevolent determination as he plotted his next move, intent on finally achieving his dark ambitions.

Gabriel: The next phase of my plan will already be in motion. Just wait and see, Ladybug.

The night was far from over, and the battle between good and evil would continue. But for now, the heroes of Paris celebrated their hard-won victory, their bond stronger than ever
